July Story Poll - Results! (Patreon)

Alright! I broke my calculator out and spent...about an hour and a half running the numbers, yikes! The numbers have been thus run, however, to a result that genuinely surprised me. Let's take a look...

Harry Potter:Pandora's Box: 218.1 + 20% Boost = 261.72

Whew! Before I started running the numbers for Stripper With a System, I genuinely thought Pandora's Box was going to win. The crazy thing is that Stripper pulled the win mostly on the back of the lowest voter tier, too. As it is, Stripper With a System pulled a narrow victory...but don't worry Harry Potter fans! As it happens, I'd already determined that Pandora's Box was going to get an update in July, either as the Poll winner, or as the Author's Choice story. It's gone a bit too longer without an update for my taste. Meaning, those of you who voted for Pandora's Box are going to get content anyway, it will just be later in the month ;-).

As for those that supported the other two stories, don't despair! After all, there is still a Pokemon Adventure update left this month. Coming out tomorrow, in point of fact! As for Why Was There No Truck?!, this is it's second miss in a row, which means that it will be getting a 10% boost in the August poll, giving it excellent odds of coming out as the August poll winner. It will, after all, be the only story with a boost. It also had the highest number of votes from the higher tier Patrons, which brought it darn close to a victory as it was.

Honestly, I'm pleased to see that the polling was honestly pretty close across the stories, indicating that there isn't a 'runaway' story unbalancing the poll like there used to be. Between that, the new, larger monthly word count, and the fact I'm allowing one of the stories to be Author's Choice, I think it will be much rarer for any particular story to languish overly long. Probably. We'll see how it goes over the next few months ;-).

An extra special thanks to those of you who subscribed at the higher tiers to help support me going full time! Thanks to you, and everyone else sticking around, things are off to a solid start on that idea. Look forward to both more Stripper With a System and updates of Harry Potter: Pandora's Box in July, folks!
