Honestly if Brett cited his sources he would probably be fine. Using research and putting it in action in different ways(i.e. using other people's arguments in debate against the deacon) is a legitimate skill. The fact he tried to hide his process and say it was all his own ideas is probably what actually killed him. TJ drew from atheist writers and scholars and shit but he would frequently say where he was cribbing shit from
