I remember my first after-credits scene in a movie. It was weirdly enough “Aladdin 2: Return of Jafar”. I had it on videocassette while I still lived as a kid in Russia, with an incredibly shitty dub in which the original audio could still be heard. Still, like with any other Disney movie I had at home, I loved it and watched it dozens of times. One day, I just let the credits roll while I was either putting snacks away, or playing with pets, because I liked the music. To my surprise, I was suddenly looking at Abis Mal hanging in a tree, complaining that he won’t get his third wish. I guess the cassette distributors didn’t know about that extra part either, because it wasn’t translated from English, and I only learned what was being said years later, after learning to talk American goodly. It’s silly, but at the time the concept blew my mind.

I think David Cronenberg's the Fly might be one of my all time favorite movie endings. Ingenious and depressing. Seeing such a lively and fit character like Jeff Goldblum reduced to... that. And having it happen slowly over the course of the film is genuinely horrifying. I watched it for the first time back in October when I had covid. Not the best movie to watch while you're going through that and brain-fog, but its a brilliant movie to the max. Insanely well made. There are tons of deleted scenes, and Im glad all of them were cut. The movie we ended up with is actually perfect.

The writer and director have said that if they had known they were going to make a sequel, they wouldn't have put Jennifer in the car. They said that was a big problem they had to deal with when they started writing the part II, because the movies were about Doc's and Marty's journey---without Jennifer tagging along.

I hate most open endings because it feels like they couldn’t figure out a good ending so rather than make a choice they pussy out. I like open endings where it’s not an A or B (like inception where it’s just an is it real or is it fake) and instead is more of a “what now” like the original planet of the apes

To elaborate on why I don’t like inceptions ending too is because the movie doesn’t give you much to argue about whether or not he’s in a dream. It was a poor mad total recall, because Paul Verhoeven purposefully designed Total Recall to be ambiguous with multiple moments where you could argue one way or the other. Whereas inception doesn’t give you any debate material except for whether or not you think the top wobbled at the end. And that’s why that ending is so popular with normies, because they only have to think about “top spin or no spin ooga booga “ instead of having to debate multiple plot points throughout the movie

For any fans of intense personal action movies, the John wick movies deserve more credit than they get. Several scenes of intense knife fights or grappling as long single shots, a protagonist that's far from invincible, has to pop pills to ignore his injuries, and Keanu Reeves is very talented with firearms and sells it better than any movie I've seen.

The way I see it, we all have a terminal diagnosis. It’s normal to grieve that we are all basically dead, but maybe it’s time to just enjoy every day where the world hasn’t truly devolved into total chaos, because we all know it’s coming. 22:26 You should have a video on your general process on how you do your paintings. I wanna get back into visual art and drawing doesn't 100% cut it for me. It's too easy for me to wanna redo something and erase a spot until it's done right which adds blemishes... I hate that part and need something to help break it. I feel like painting will help make me accept imperfections and adjust as I go... Because I also got a lot I wanna get off my mind and writing lyrics isn't helping... I haven't picked a guitar up yet because I don't have money for new strings and getting back into drawing is more demotivating because I lost a lot of skill I attained that just isn't around now that I need to get back... So I wanna explore something new and I really love the acrylic paints and the styles that come from that so maybe a new outlet is something I need

My instagram feed does what TJ said except it goes from cute animal videos to endless clips of the big news story of the week. I get completely inundated with reels about it to the point that it negatively effects me because it’s like a slow motion car wreck that’s hard to look away from. It will consume my day and many times the next day as well and leave me exhausted and stressed out.
