Sorry but the hyper specific transition from Watatabe to Digimon made me pause the video and laugh for like 5 solid minutes.

Lmao I kind of dropped Dusk Beyond the End of the World after the boring episode 0. I didn't know it went that insane in episode 1.

Oh holy crap, I think I read Let's Play after you made a video about it! I didn't realize it was getting a anime adaptation.

Stands-In-The-Fire

"Allow me to assuage them" ... consider me Assuaged.

Highly recommend the prequel manga to With You, Our Love Will Make it Through to any adult manga enjoyers. The politics of Hana and the Beast Man are surprisingly nuanced and thoughtful for a manga that is mostly focused on impossibly good dog man oral

"Natural-born poker pro, I'll tell ya what" got a good chuckle out of me.

Dave Nemock

I understand that you probably don't want to list the series names on the YouTube video, so that people don't just click to the description, figure out what they want, and then not watch the video. But for the Patreon version, could you include a comment that lists all of the series and animes shown in the video?

Seeing as I only finished 3 new titles from the 'loaded' Summer25 [Water Magician, Mikadono Sisters, & Food Court]; I feel that Fall25 may be the better season for new titles. I am already watching 2 of your 13 recommendations, 5 of your 13 also-rans, and I am adding 2 more [Yono-kun... & A Mangaka's Weirdly...], based on your video. Thanks, Geoff!

You got this out quick! I had written off some of these, like Star Brighter and Ninja vs Gokudo, but your descriptions of Sae's ~utterly inscrutable~ paramour and "yaoi-coded, Ninja/Yakuza ROMEO AND JULIET" dragged me back aboard! I'm excited. Also excited for a whole year of Digimon? I remembered Adventures and Tamers being long but I didn't know that was a consistent thing. And if this is as good as Tamers, it's gonna be a great time!

That was me as well. Robot girl with a lightsaber and good animation? Yes, please.

I just watched all your 2019 season recommenders for a project, and it was eye-opening to roll into this fresh one and immediately notice the leap in quality. It's not like you were any kind of slouch back then, but being able to (kinda sorta) experience all the slow, cumulative improvement of six years' worth of work at once brought home exactly how worth it is to keep plugging away at the same thing even if you're already executing at a pretty dang high level. Especially the honourable mentions section of this video was ridiculously impressive just on a scripting level. Thank you for doing this for us all these years, Geoff; it's not only an incredibly valuable service, it's also entertaining as all heck.

Water Magician was cool when it was just Two Great Bros Doing Great Things but when they got to the town, I felt like it bogged down and didn't recover to the point I bothered finishing it.

Rob W

TWO psych references!

Randall Wald

I had been skipping "My Status As An Assassin Obviously Exceeds The Hero's" specifically because I figured "I already watched Failure Frame once, no reason to watch it again." Glad to hear it's an example of this concept done right.

The two anime this season that have surprised surprised me the most are about a kid who can transform into an old man and an old man who thinks he can transform by putting on a kid's mask.

Dr. Gonzo

So I've watched both versions of the video, and I must be blind, what was censored for the youtube cute? o.O

WhatUsernameIsn'tTaken?

Not even Halloween and we're talking Christmas. The Thanksgiving erasure is real lol

I went into this season only really caring about Digimon but Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider and May I Ask for One Final Thing look so good.
