"sweet Haruhi" is that our lord and saviour Haruhi Suzumiya? If so, have you ever done a video about that show?

Lobster Fingers

For anyone confused, Geoff clarified in the youtube version that this video was exclusively for sequels of this season.

Rhys Danforth

You shouldn’t watch fire force I banged my head against the kitchen table so many times watching that show trying to get some good stuff out of it the guy who rides broomsticks or prayer sticks in the more rowdy section of Tokyo is the sickest character though it let me down like a Netflix show tho

Rhys Danforth

Bro Hells paradise is peak. What are you talking about slideshows for?

Rhys Danforth

Also, I love the gangster boss who’s trying to be the head of his Zenin clan in the jjk S3

Brian Auxier

Journal of the Witch looks really good to if you want something more character driven.

EJRI

where's the yuri tho :/

Petbird

Golden Kamuy!!!!! MY MAN

Crabeleton

The best part about the Quest for the Best podcast is that it'll force Geoff to watch Gintama one day. We'll get him eventually!

RONIN WARRIORS IS GETTING A REQUEL!? I ADORED that show as a kid! I literally just rewatched it last year! I’m so excited!!!

Lucario2405

Geoff knew what he was doing with that (official!) hotspring Yuji artwork in the thumbnail. Also Fabulous Beasts mention!! I can definitely recommend the series, it has very hq, dynamic animation for a kids show and the story is a nice mix of humor and mythology, one-offs and multi-episode arcs, a wide supporting cast and some nice character exploration. Without the intros and backup quizzes all episodes from seasons 1-4 are only about 3 hours and there is even a supercut on the BiliBili YT channel.

You didn't mention High School! Kimengumi (2026), a show which I could tolerate like a minute of because it seemed like total shit. It's an incredible lineup of returning shows, so many you can barely remember all the ones you're watching at any one moment without checking a list.

Fun Fact! JoJo's Steel Ball Run is based on an old Burt Reynolds Comedy Movie that had Dom DeLuise, Jackie Chan, Roger Moore (he played James Bond), Farrah Fawcett (A serious Babe), Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin. That movie in turn was based on an actual illegal car race from the East Coast to the West that was run five times in the 70's.

War in the Pocket is a permanent Christmas watch and this year it felt way more relevant than usual.

Geoff, your take on Trigun Stampede showed me just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s not objectively good, especially for others. Comparing Trigun Stampede & Stargaze to the original manga/anime when it sets out to be different retelling didn’t do the former justice. Thank you for that!

Madoka… MIGHT be getting delayed again…

Adam Foster

one of the only problems with the Hathaway movies (at least the first one) and Char’s Counterattack is that the way women are written has aged like milk, otherwise it’s worth a watch if you can look past that

fenekhu

I really hope you didn't jinx my upcoming plans to watch girls suffer more.

Gravity

Fire Force s3 sucks. Don't listen to them. Each s1 and 2 covers a very good amount of chapter. Then s3 is just like "What if we do 120 chapters in one 24 episode season?" and other than rushing the animation between 2 and 3 isnt a glow up and is mid af

Ice Blue

You gotta watch Gintama

Tariq

Now I feel ancient as I grew up watching that "old movie" (Cannonball Run) on TV!

And… it… did………
