I ignored reviews and just watched whatever... Often on CR, and the result... I've been hit by a lot of bad to mid, like the already abandoned 999 Villager and Overshadowed/OP trash ... Not the worst ever, but this video did give me hopes for catching stuff other than the sequels.

I think SAC and 2nd GiG will always be **my** version of Ghost in the Shell; like The West Wing of anime, but this one is different enough that I think I will actually enjoy it (unlike the other adaptations like Arise and 2045 which all just felt like temu-SAC)

I couldn't even finish the first episode of the fighting game one. Every time they stop bothering to animate the show to instead show us an advertisement for street fighter while a random narrator describes the character movesets I found myself wishing they'd just stuck with animating a bonkers fictional game instead. Not to mention...when did Street Fighter get so ugly? The footage was visually unappealing as much as it was annoying.

I love the Cat Dragon! It's charming & funny, has some great animation (and cute cats obviously! 😺) and a nice story. Because of the Dragon's long lifespan it can tell self-contained adventures with a rotating cast of supporting characters, showing different stages of both their and this world's development.

There's a guy in Season One who competes using *only* recipes from comic books/manga/etc. And he kicks. Serious. Ass. And one of his favorite "cookbooks"? Iron Wok Jan. I'm the most excited I've ever been for an anime.
