Hi friends! Before I delve into things, to choose your name/sprite for Episode 10, fill out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/FCChTG99kLHmT99s6
You can always change your answer. And don't worry about having to submit any time soon, because this form is going to be up there for quite a while. Using a spreadsheet was a terribly inefficient method that confused a fair amount of people, so this is how I'm going to do it from now on.
So...writing this episode has been heart-wrenching so far. I'm really struggling with it. A lot of the key characters keep getting re-worked, and I've encountered a lot of frustration. But the script is in a much better condition than it was a month ago, and I hope that trend continues. Although I've made a lot of headway, this is a complicated episode and it's going to require much more work. I've written several pages of the script already, but they get constantly re-written, so I'm not sure how much of the script in its current state will stay that way. I'm also keeping a large notebook (pictured above) filled with plot points, character motivations, potential story threads, and really anything else that will shape the episode. It's mostly blank right now, but it's growing rapidly. I can easily see it filling up as my work progresses. I am hesitant to reveal too much right now, but the tentative title for this next episode is "Everstone".
In the meantime, I'm likely going to have to start working on character models and the scene build. I have a clear vision of where I need this story to take place and, now, which characters are a part of it, but getting the "how" right is going to be tricky. I could easily see myself still working on the script well into asset production. Also, I am scared that this episode might end up being way too long and complicated for me to handle. But then again, that's always been the case. The episodes are getting progressively longer and scarier to produce and I don't see that changing with how much I want to say in this one.
I hope to have more to say soon, but I don't think we'll be REALLY kicking things into gear until January. Until then, I'll do my best to get as much done as possible. Thank you all.
