Deleted Scene - "Charmander Gets Punched in the Face" (Patreon)

Originally, the ending of Episode 5 was going to have Squirtle come out and tell the audience to "like and subscribe."  This is a big trend on YouTube called a "call to action".  And while it usually works (quite well), it often cheapens the effect of a short film by calling the medium to attention.

I found that not only did this scene completely deflate the drama and emotional impact of Hitmonchan's final scene, but it broke the immersion.  It took Squirtle out of his own world, and made him a puppet with a voice actor, rather than a character.

I scrapped it at the last minute.  However, I kept the background build.
