Game of Thrones 5x1 “The Wars to Come” & 5x2 “The House of Black and White” Reaction!

We already love this season! It’s so exciting to see more of our favorite characters finally crossing paths as their stories begin connecting in new ways. Brienne finds Sansa, Tyrion begins a new journey with Varys, and Arya finally arrives in Braavos!

Meanwhile, things at the Wall are changing quickly. Mance refuses to kneel to Stannis, Jon makes an incredibly difficult decision, and then he is chosen as the new Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch!

Season 5 is already setting up so many interesting storylines, and we cannot wait to see where they lead. Thank you for watching along with us! ❤️

I like your intros :)

Imagine Melisandre’s internal dialogue😅

These episodes reset the chess board and start a whole new direction for just about every story line. You are doing well, and some of your thoughts are spot on, while others are not, just like everyone else. Now that their names have been fully revealed, the dragons were named for Dany's brothers and her husband. Rhaegal, Viserion, and Drogon...for Rhaegar, Viseryis?, and Drogo. I was surprised that you did not comment on how big Drogon is now. Also, my take on his cameo the first time I watched it was Drogon telling Dany that he was still there, not so much that he had outgrown her.

Jessica Houser

Without giving spoilers....I think Dany and her dragons have a mother/child relationship. They have a special connection with her because of how they were hatched. I felt that at this point in the show, Drogon was in the dramatic teenage phase. Definitely much more dragon action to come. I love how you're sifting through the shifts of this season already. There will be many "I didn't see that coming!" moments coming up over the next 2 seasons. It still blows my mind as many times as I've seen it. Very pivotal and key moments coming soon. Also, do you remember Syrio Forel? Arya's sword/fighting instructor hired by Ned in Season 1? He was from Braavos. Besides the fact that she had nowhere to go and she only had the coin Jaqen H-ghar gave her to travel with, I always felt he was also a reason for her to go there. Thanks for all the content! Reactions are great as usual!

Jessica Houser

I totally agree with all of this....took the words out of my mouth! Lol

Tywin had the Targaryen babies killed, he let the Mountain r-pe Elia Martell, he orchestrated the Red Wedding, he murdered the entire House of Reyne, ravaged the Riverlands, he's cruel to his kids, Tyrion especially, etc. I think he was worth killing.

I only just realized like two years ago that not everyone has an internal monologue. Mine never shuts tf up. I find myself talking to myself out loud a lot because it helps declutter the internal noise that inner me makes

I don't think you'll have to worry at all about content to keep people here. If it's true you've barely seen anything then you're good for at least like 5 more years lol. And if you catch up with GoT, you could read the books and talk about them or other content like you said, plus you said you wanna watch HotD and watch along for S2 so ... sounds like there's no need to pace it out as much ... but I totally understand wanting to savor every moment of each journey.

The Unsullied haven't gotten to experience softness and affection. So, they were paying sex workers to give them soft, affectionate, safe experiences - instead of for sex. And I think Jon is SMART enough to realize that The Wildlings aren't any different than people who live south of the wall. He realizes that they just ended up behind the wall when it was built and now they're trying to get away from the White Walkers. Jon isn't flip flopping even though he has affection for them - he just sees the bigger picture.

If I didnt have that inner dialog with myself I would never have a good conversation :) lol . I really enjoy all the small/extra talking you guys do before for sure

VeNinjaK

I have internal monologue as well, and when I learned that like half of the population doesn't it boggled my mind. I honestly still don't understand how someone can function without one. I use it for everything, work, planning, idk everything honestly. I can also think in pictures and scenes but it's usually accompanied by the monologue. I'd love to hear more about how Mrs. October thinks.

ShittyShittyGameGang

I'm the same as Mr. I have an inner dialog with myself constantly. I CAN picture things if I want to, but I have to think about doing it. Even as I write this comment It's playing in my head first.

Jim Schmitz

It's moves and countermoves like always. About your personal content, I want more. Maybe reconsider the Question-Answer podcast.

Chris

I don't have a voice in my head talking to me but I'm always talking in my head. I don't know how to think without words.

The Sparrow guy who came up to Cersei and indicated that they plotted to murder Robert was Lancel Lannister from season one! The really skinny blonde guy who would give Robert his wine and put his armor on him. He's a part of group that support the High Sparrow.

Chaz D

I didn’t even know it was possible to not have an inner dialogue with yourself lol any time u think about anything you’re basically having inner dialogue with yourself so what does Mrs. October do, just sit there like a dud most of the time lol if she does then that’s a super power bc I’d love to be able to shut off my brain like that sometimes.

Mrs. C

I am so glad Mr. October pointed out that she feels as if, in a way, everything Dany loves and works for has turned against her or she has lost. I think a lot of people who watch the show ignore that or forget as the seasons progress.

Like a great book that you just can't wait to read and find out how it all finishes but then when you do finish it you're a bit sad it's over. Totally agree about the content though, there are sooo many things to watch and cover I look forward to the journey!

Tyrion and Varys are at Illyrio Mopatis' palace in Pentos across the Narrow sea. The man who took in Viserys and Daenerys. Season 1 episode 1 Daenerys and Viserys was in this very same palace.

Chris

I don't know if Tommen is actually busy, or if Cersei is just keeping him isolated from everything and everyone.

Jessica Houser

That was my first thought when she said "Don't we know him?" I was thinking Yes! Good observation on her part to recognize the name so quickly!

I really think you guys completely misread the Drogon/Dany-interaction. It wasn't a cold shoulder or anything like that. What the show was trying to convey, was to establish how there is a special bond between a dragon and it's rider (in this case it's mother). Drogon knew instinctively that Dany needed him, given what just happened to her. So Drogon flew back to her to make his presence known. That short interaction was so helpful to Dany. The fact that Drogon flew away quite quickly again should not be viewed negatively (as if Drogon is angry at her or something). He simply came back to show her his support, and Dany left that very short interaction with renewed energy and confidence. It was the best thing that could happen to her at that point, and Drogon fully delivered.

Monkey D. Tomy

I have internal monologue. Its weird to think that someone doesnt 😅

All See’er

I sure hope that was a stunt thumb that witch sucked on like that in episode 1. Did you see the look in her eye? That was wild 👀😅

StephL

I don’t think Drogon is turning on her he’s just a wild boy. I think he sensed she was in trouble and showed up. Once he saw she was ok he dipped lol. It makes me tear up because he was missing and he probably sensed his momma was in trouble and showed up 😭

Elizabeth D.

There’s no way I could have an inner dialogue because my thoughts are moving way faster than words could be said. And I’m usually thinking of 10 things at once. A brain narrator would just quit the job.

Kenneth Mays

Man that conversation about internal thoughts at the beginning was so funny! I know an even amount of ppl who think the way both of you do. I’m definitely more of a Mrs. October thinker
