I really love the comic con trailer for season 2. For the sake of avoiding spoilers the Octobers probably shouldn't watch it but when that thing dropped back then I was just so blown away by the trailer. I'm gonna watch it right after this video.

Supernatural is my #1 show of all time! I've seen it all the way through so many times I can quote the episodes. You can't get anything better than Dean Winchester!! Definitely worth the watch. You'll get answers to questions slowly but surely. Great job getting these out so quick! (I knew you were my favorites foe a good reason!)

You two are more fun to watch than the show itself, and your reactions to it make watching it again so much more enjoyable. From what you have said about your lack of exposure to movies and shows in general, I think it gives you a fresher, less jaded response. This is also enhanced by your equal participation in the reaction. A lot of partner reactors tend to have one that does most of the commentary, but you two meld your individual reactions into much more interesting dual reaction. I think that is why you keep drawing in more subscribers, and it looks like you are headed for big success. I'm just glad I found you early on, and I am looking forward to seeing where this goes. On to season 2, where even more interesting characters arrive...so much fun is coming!

I think the bully kids are supposed to be reminiscent of other bullies in Stephen King adaptations, like Stand By Me, It, Sometimes They Come Back? There are a lot of King nods, even the episode titled "the body" is after one of his short stories that was adapted into Stand By Me. I'm not that familiar with it, but the upside down in general seems very reminiscent of the supernatural lore in Kings novels? I just binged your watch up to this point, so now I'm watching for the first time with you. Gotta be in the mood/have time to focus on something and be invested because I can't really do that halfway 😆. I also knew too much about this series already and didn't want to be bored knowing a lot of what happens getting into it, but I just watched the first half while multitasking and got through it, now I am definitely invested at the point I don't know as much until s4 lol. Glad to be here with you investing! Sorry to keep bringing it up but can't wait until y'all dive into The Boys & Gen V, which I think the latter especially, pairs nicely. Still reeling from s4 ep8!

Have you seen Stand by Me yet? You should also see Sometimes They Come Back (on or off channel) ... it was a made for tv movie, but I had this haunting reccuring memory from it for decades until I FINALLY figured out it was that movie!

Perhaps a lapse in the writing department, but can I just say; Poor Benny Hammond. All he did was manage his little burger crib, and giving Eleven a burger, and some fries. He knew almost NOTHING at all about anything, and they still killed him, just to be safe I guess. You know, as a precaution. Absolutely NO security risks are acceptable... However, Hopper, who outright admits to them that he knows EVERYTHING, and even threatens them with going public, doesn't immediately get wacked.... This is where the showwriters become very inconsistent, because somehow, he gets spared, because the script demands it. Here they opt for the old "Junkie-framing". Not great of course, but still better than being dead... Like I said, poor Benny Hammond. Got killed for knowing nothing, whilst people who knows absolutely everything, gets away free, with almost no consequence :) Anyway, this wasn't meant as a rant, because I actually think this first season was an outright masterpiece (the 4th season as well), but it just occured to me how kind of silly this particular writing was conducted. Great reactions as always!

If it makes you feel any better there is pretty solid rationale behind the decisions. At the point in which they killed Benny, El & The Monster were a very unknown entities. Benny was the FIRST person to interact with El. That kill was very low stakes for them. A few days later, Will's dubious death is all over the news and talked about among the community. People at different areas of work know that the Feds have been taking over parts of the investigation, the kids know more and Joyce knows more. Not to mention Hop being the police chief, aka high profile himself. All of these factors meant they could no longer go around killing people off left/right in an attempt to cover up the truth, it was too late. It isn't a reach to assume the reason Benny dies is because they felt like they could cover it up, but at the point in which Hopper interacts with them it is too late to just kill everyone who knows anything.
