I see they Boys are next. Let's go.

Reaction Junkie

I am so friggin excited for The Boys and more Tarantino. Lfg!

o.o

i like Quentin Tarantino but, Django unchained is by far my favorite of his.

Chase Schleich

No no no no no. You did not just drop part 1 and then leave it until next week.... Kill Bill is the film where you watch both back to back and drop both videos at once. It's one film and you just up and left the theater during the intermission. In all seriousness though. Kill Bill was truly meant to be one film, but during editing it got made into Part 1 and Part 2 thanks to Harvey Weinstein (if you haven't heard of him, go ahead and type that name into Google.... have fun). Tarantino planned for an epic 3 hour film while Weinstein wanted a 90 minute film so he had Tarantino cut it in half, turning it into Part 1 and Part 2.

Montana Bruce

The Boys next, how exciting. You guys are in for one hell of a ride.

Adrian Rhodes

Funny tie-in to our last convo, my wife will be cosplaying as Gogo Yubari at DragonCon this year :)

Josh Viz

"Let me know in the comments how many times have you watched this and is this your favorite movie?" It always makes it on my list of favorite movies yeah!! My parents totally shouldnt have but they let me watch this as many times as I wanted as a little kid. I'm 28 now probably seen it like 15-20 times atleast? It's a classic to me!

Jason Rogue

Silly rabbit, Trix are for Kids. I haven't seen this movie a lot, only 3 times, and I just realized what Oren and [REDACTED] meant. Fun fact, if you rewatch Pulp Fiction the Fox Force Five are the Deadly Viper Squad. Bill says half her name but you wouldn't know since it's something so simple.

Michele G

There should be a way to turn on subtitles for the Japanese parts. I watched this not to long ago and was able to get them up. Love the reaction yall !! Next volume is just as good !!

Josh Viz

Lol I like how you guys appreciate the movie as of its not supposed to have subtitles. Thats great haha but it is supposed to have them! I wonder why your version dosent have it.

Chase Schleich

If you haven't already watched it, make sure you get the subtitles for part 2. From what I remember, there's still parts where you'll want them. Part 1 had the most Japanese scenes, but there's more to come in the next part. You'll need the subtitles to really understand.

Sam Fisher

So am I missing something. Do you guys not have the subtitles turned on? You missing vital information lol.

Sam Fisher

Since you are on this Tarantino ride there are two films that you have to see that may not be on your list. “Grindhouse” and “From Dusk til Dawn”. Grindhouse was a double feature horror flick by Tarantino and Rodriguez. “Planet Terror” & “Death Proof”. Also Dusk til Dawn was a crazy film by Rodriguez that starred Tarantino.

Chris

Did someone forget to turn on the subtitles? 😆

KER

YES THE BOYS IS NEXT, I am so excited, I wasn't planning on staying subscribed but now I don't really have a choice!

ImHigh Sorry

Mind was just blown. The scene where she's on the bike in a yellow and black jumpsuit. The song is a cover of flight of the BUMBLE BEE 🤯🤯

JoseMTZ

Me watching you guys missing the subtitles for the Japanese. But I’ve seen this so many times I remember what they’re saying lolol

Raziel

No subtitles on the japanese parts? That's weird. You missed a lot. Please rewatch those parts with subs, even if of camera.

ImHigh Sorry

Jeez I can't wait for inglorious basterds

JoseMTZ

They need to rewatch it again and re post it

Jesse Lee

Tarantino is so eccentric that you guys assumed the lack of subtitles was part of the experience 😄

Lifehouse

The " Kill Bill's " are my favorite of his aswell. I just love the style. I love the iconic music. Like I said before, Uma is the irl mother of Robin from Stranger Things. And to answer your question. YES these Kill Bill movies are very loved. At the time it was referenced a lot and also parodied a lot. I saw this when it came out and I still listen to the music from time to time. Its just that good. Im looking forward to y'all watching the next one.

Tyrone Bigguns

alright so im watching and im cracking up at two things. first is the sus line "go beat off in the bushes like everyone else does". and then a minute later, after acknowledging a mutual childhood fear of having their achilles tendon severed by someone hiding under the bed, Mrs. O goes "for some reason, no one ever did it." jajajajaja.

TheOctobers

SOMEONE HELP US FIND THE CORRECT VERSION for VOL 2. Bc we rented that thing and thought we just were not supposed to know what they said in Japanese, but we don't want to make this mistake again <3

Jesse Lee

Can you go old-school and buy the Blu-ray on Amazon?

J-rad

This is by far my favorite Tarantino film. Uma Thurman is a baddass, and I’m excited for you to see the conclusion. Looks like you watched this via Max, and there should have been a way for you to see the Japanese audio with English subtitles, so if you have the chance to rewatch it before watching Part 2, I’d recommend that so you know what you missed. Also, PLEASE be sure to make sure part 2 has the Japanese to English subtitles because you will *definitely* need them. Lastly, if no one has mentioned it, Maya Hawke who plays Robin in Stranger Things is Uma’s daughter with Ethan Hawke.

Chase Schleich

Most any rental site should offer the full closed captions/translations. Not sure how you got one that didn't. I saw that you had closed captions on, but they only worked for the English scenes which was very strange.

Chase Schleich

Grindhouse is considered his worst project. Watched from Dusk till Dawn again recently. I remembered liking it, but watching it now.... it was not good. The first half was ok, maybe a little slow. Then when things really pick up in the 2nd half, it just gets cartoonish and goofy. I remembered it being more horror, but I must have been really young the first time I watched it in order to think that lol

TheOctobers

maybe it'll work in our Xbox! but idk how to record that lol

TheOctobers

yeah lol we woulda had no idea if you guys didn't tell us

Sam Fisher

I’ll give you Dusk til Dawn. It’s basically a cult classic. It’s cool the sheriff is also in that. But Grindhouse was legit. Probably the most fun ive ever had in a packed theater. Sorry you didn’t like it but everyone can’t like everything. 🤷🏽‍♂️

TheOctobers

that's honestly cool! send us pictures!

J-rad

That’s awesome!!!

Marcel Reyes

Oh nooooo. The Japanese dialogue is some of the MOST standout in the entire film. The scene where Hatori Hanzo gifts the bride her sword is incredible. I thought it was a problem with something else. How unfortunate!

Marcel Reyes

Maaan. What a bummer, there’s so much to this film you’re missing without the subtitle parts.

Robert Nelson

Hmmm... there's no video attached. :(

J-rad

I don’t think anyone here is disappointed for themselves that there weren’t subtitles, because a lot of us are probably familiar enough with the movie. We just want you get as much enjoyment and understanding out of these as we have. Also, I really like that you’re doing a specific filmmakers filmography. This might be something cool to continue. There are a lot of really great directors out there that have really solid resumes. Maybe the Coen brothers, Wes Anderson, John Hughes, the rest of Christopher Nolan’s movies that you haven’t seen. These are all directors with a very specific vision when they make their movies. Of course there are others, but these are some more relatively younger ones.

MightyBigMeech

Anyone else having quality issues? Theres not a higher option than 540p

MO

When is the boys dropping?

LLCoolT

Maybe if you turned off the captions during those parts, the subtitles would appear since that’s part of the original version.

Tyrone Bigguns

don't feel discouraged by all the people saying Kill Bill is their favorite Tarantino flick... in my opinion his last two (Hateful Eight and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) are his best by far.

Imoldgreg1977

It was probably because you put the subtitles on, sometimes that doesn’t include the foreign subtitles, watch it without the subtitles and the English subtitles will come on during the Japanese dialog.

Imoldgreg1977

You really need to rewatch it, you miss a lot of info without the Japanese subtitles

JoseMTZ

To anyone that may enjoy this lol

Магдалена Георгиева

Yayy cant wait for Vol. 2 guys 😍 i really dont know why no subs were available for the japanese dialogue, too bad! Make sure to rewatch it with the subs, especially the part with Sonny Chiba (Hattori Hanzo) after he made the katana. As im not from US i have no idea if i can help u find the proper version, i know it is on netflix (in my region though) but in my country we usually download the movies from pirate sites 😆 Not sure what the situation is in the US.. great content though, loved how you appreciated the movie aesthetic and dialogue!

Jean Choi

Fun fact: the girl who plays Robin in Stranger Things, is the daughter of Uma Thurman, who plays the lead in this film. The resemblance is uncanny if you see them side by side

Jean Choi

Try watching it with English subtitles off and maybe the ones for Japanese language parts will come up. In the theater there were English subtitles for all the Japanese parts, so definitely play with those settings, cause you guys missed stuff.
