Everyone praises this movie. It has some great scenes, sure. But I get so tired from Gunn’s comedy approach that everyone has to yell louder to get their point across. 🥱 the Rocket stuff was on point, aside from that I enjoyed Guardians Vol 2 better

JoseMTZ

Yuuusss now I have something to watch at work!!! Yall keep me entertained. Love ya

Jason Rogue

Wooooo, been waiting a hot minute for this. I honestly will never willingly watch this movie again, unless it's with someone who wants to experience this movie. Other than that one watch is enough and I don't want to go through what I saw again. My heart couldn't take it the first time.

Caleb

My favorite mcu movie since Infinity War.

DarrellWaller

ok, a few things: Adam Warlock is a noble, regal character in the comics, so I'm assuming this is his "baby form" which whould make sense. In the comics he meets Gamora and Pip the Troll (from the end credits of Eternals) and fights Thanos and beats his ass until Thanos beats him and the eternal conflict continues. Warlock also has the Soul Stone in his forehead, but that is not explained in this movie or the MCU in general. We shall see where this is headed. Now Mantis: She was originally introduced in the Avengers (comics) and has hooked up with the Swordsman (Jack from the Hawkeye series) and both become Avengers for a short time. Will this happen in the MCU? Who knows? After this you only have a few more MCU things to get through: Secret Invasion (ugh), Echo (ugh) and Loki S2 (yay!) then the Marvels (ugh) before you get to the GLORIOUS Deadpool and Wolverine (yay! Yay! yay!) afer that is Agatha All Along ( excellent). I highly suggest you watch Daredevil (2003) before you get to Deadpool, though. (can't say why)

Hard Parking Violations

"hes famous for something" OMG im almost done with you guys lol.. Sylvester Stallone lol

Peter K

That would be the DD film from 2003, not the series, just to clarify Darrell's suggestion...

chris z

love this film, everyone does. Marvel in a weird funk, but this was a 10.

TheOctobers

Jhae this is why we know you! you are the one who remembers the important stuff lol

TC24

I mentioned some of this before but the reason this movie felt like a wrap up of these charecters is because it was James Gunn’s(the director) last movie with marvel, he always planned it as a trilogy to end with Rocket, and now he’s moved on to be the CEO of DC studios. He’s starting the DCU next year with a Superman movie directed by him in July. And I agree with you Mrs.O, it’s the best marvel trilogy imo too.

TONYA JACKSON

Definitely my favorite soundtrack!

Emili

Idk feel like marvel has been really killing it lately, esp everything that came out this year

Emili

I'm with Mrs October here i cried the whole time I watched this the first time. I was so stressed out that I had to watch it again to really enjoy it 😆

chris z

yea they are now, but when this came out not so much.

Quinten Shibusawa

The woman Gamora shoots in the leg during the Orgoscope escape scene is actually James Gunn’s wife. He actually had a few people from his DC projects in the movie.

Jessica Houser

I think this was the start of big improvements in Marvel. Combined with Agatha All Along and Deadpool and Wolverine.....my faith is restored! Can't wait to continue with you two! Love ya'll!❤️

Kiera Walker

Y’all breezed right the f*ck over the first MCU F-Bomb 😳😬🙄🤣

Gio Bellisario

One of the best soundtracks loved this movie so much I cried like a baby

Charles W Jansen II

Here is my take on Peter Quinn's . . . . Err . . . . Quill’s journey summed up this way. Ego is Bill Sykes Yondu Udanta is Fagan Kraglin Obfonteri is the Artful Dodger Meredith Quill is mom Twist Grandpa Quill is Grandpa Twist Peter Quill is Oliver Twist. At the end of Oliver Twist, Young Mister Twist went home to his grandfather. Quill does the same. The Star-Lord movie will be about Quill’s new professional career working in a factory as a pretzel bender.

Gio Bellisario

It’s the way Nebula was so happy Rocket was okay. If you remember Nebula and Rocket were the only guardians that’s didn’t get blipped so they only had each other for 5 years

Aldo Gonzales

That was a lot of character growth. They couldn’t stand each other in the first two films, but then they bonded over their losses and became great friends. That’s why Nebula for me was the standout in this film.

Michael Taylor

I was a 54 yr old man sitting in a theater crying to the opening with Radiohead's Creep playing to a sad Rocket. What a film!

Jim Schmitz

Well worth the wait to share moist eyes with at least one of ya'll. It's edifying to know we've got your number, Brooke.

Aldo Gonzales

Yup. It was when Nebula was trying to enter the car. Star-Lord said, “open the fucking door.”

Aldo Gonzales

Sorry I’m a little late to comment. I had a busy day yesterday. I also apologize for posting such a long comment but I also hope you take the time to read it as this is one of my favorite films of all time. 1.) A decade ago, there were so many who didn’t know who the Guardians of the Galaxy were. Now, almost everyone knows them. The opening logo tells us that we got to join them on this crazy journey that lasted nine years over the course of three major films, two ensembles, one cameo, and a holiday special. It’s all coming to an end, but it’s ending on a high note. 2.) James Gunn knew the story he wanted to tell. Maybe we didn’t get everything we had hoped for, but we still got a lot. Rocket is his favorite Guardian, and from his point of view a talking raccoon sounded like the saddest creature in the universe. In the first movie, Rocket said he didn’t ask to get made and torn apart over and over. In Volume 2, Yondu obviously wasn’t there when it happened but he did guess correctly when he said the scientists who created him didn’t care about him. Then Rocket tells Thor that he has a lot to lose. He survived for Endgame along with Nebula, and they eventually had a determination to revive their fellow Guardians. All of that culminates in this third and final adventure. 3.) The opening scene sets the tone for this movie. The other movies started out with happy music, but the song called Creep describes what Rocket has felt for so long. Adding to that, this is the final movie with the Guardians as we know them and it’s also James Gunn’s last involvement with Marvel. 4.) In case you don’t remember, the golden guy is Adam Warlock. He was “introduced” in the third post-credit scene in Volume 2. He was still in a birthing pod at the time. And yes, those abelisks are just like the one that the Guardians fought in the beginning of the same film. I feel like Adam was underused in this movie because there was so much going on, but he had been hinted over seven years ago. He had to show up sooner rather than later – preferably while James was still involved. I feel like Adam will return though. He’s a very new character in the MCU, and I can only imagine the hours of makeup that Will Poulter has to endure. They gotta count for something. Given how powerful Adam is, I can tell he’s gonna be a major help. 5.) Lylla was portrayed by Linda Cardellini. She previously portrayed Hawkeye’s wife Laura. 6.) At least Peter admitted to screwing up in Infinity War, but “nearly destroyed” is a dangerous understatement. He made half of the intergalactic population vanish including himself and some of his fellow Guardians for five years. Then again, it was supposed to happen as part of the one victory Doctor Strange foresaw. 7.) James confirmed that Peter was in a rush to save Rocket that he forgot about grabbing his signature mask on the way out. We didn’t see him wear it in this film. 8.) However, I did like the new uniform that most of the Guardians – both the 1st and 2nd iterations – got to wear. That outfit originated from the Guardians’ 2008-2014 comic run. 7.) My favorite funny moment Mantis using her powers on those three guards in Orgocorp. 9.) Chukwudi Iwuji (spelled as choo-koo-dee e-woo-gee) or just Chuck if you prefer has said in several interviews that he doesn’t want us to empathize with the High Evolutionary. He genuinely wants us to hate him. I certainly do. It’s interesting because this is the first villain in a long time that we don’t have to empathize with. In the recent years, that has become the norm throughout most superhero media. He also admitted it was difficult for him to watch his own portrayal because in real life he’s a huge animal lover. He hates his own character as much as we do. 10.) It’s a bit hard to notice the first time, but Drax was carrying the High Evolutionary while he and his fellow Guardians were running with the pack of animals as the remnants of the Arete exploded. Then in an unfinished deleted scene, the High Evolutionary puts his face mask back on while Rocket locks him up in a cell on Knowhere. Following the release of this movie in theaters, James Gunn confirmed that the High Evolutionary is still alive. That means there’s some potential for this big bad boss to return in the future. 11.) Looking back, the High Evolutionary reminds me of Martin Brenner from Stranger Things and Zander Rice from Logan 2017. They all had different goals, but the one thing that all three had in common is that they had little to no genuine empathy for anyone they were experimenting on. 12.) My favorite fight scenes were Star-Lord and Groot gunslinging and then of course the Guardians fighting together one last time with No Sleep Till Brooklyn playing in the background. 13.) Gamora understandably wasn’t at her best in this film. I liked her the most in Volume 2 because she developed a motherly instinct towards Groot and reconciled with Nebula. At least Peter got to properly say goodbye to Gamora and gain some sense of closure. Throughout the movie he had held on hope that she was the same Gamora he knew, but by the end he accepted her all the same. In a similar sense, Gamora wanted Peter to get in his head that she’s not who he desired but she also began to understand why this whole group including her were so special to him. 14.) For me, Nebula and Groot were the highlights of this film. I never thought Nebula would have so much emotion, but I feel like in part it’s because she hung out a lot with Rocket during the blip since he was the only other active Guardian to survive. She even called him a friend right before entering the Orgoscope. As for Groot, he’s become much more reliable. He really surprised me with the ammo and the wings. It’s so cool that he could fly now, or at least glide. He also almost made me cry when he saw Peter freezing to death. The dude really is the heart of the squad. It’s also worth reminding that Gamora was essentially his mother. It was hard for him to accept the facts as much as Peter, because he lost her years ago and here she is again but as someone entirely different. At least he also got to end on good terms with her. 15.) Drax found a new sense of fatherhood. My favorite moment with him was when he translated for Groot to Adam. I also thought it was kinda cute when he wanted to keep Peter’s drawing. 16.) And finally, Come And Get Your Love by Redbone helps bring the Guardians’ journey full circle. 17.) The good news is that the entire team survived. For months leading up to the theater date, many of us had been theorizing that it was gonna follow the formula that Endgame and No Way Home used where they kill off a major character in a film that closes an extensive arc. There were definitely a number of close calls, but for once everyone in the core team lived. Regarding the future of the Guardians, the sad news is that this movie is still the last time we’ll see some of them. Dave Bautista said that he would like to move on to do some more dramatic roles. I also understand that having to sit still during makeup can be a hassle. Zoe Saldaña has also said this would be her last time portraying Gamora but would like to see her portrayed by someone else in the future. However, I recently heard that she would like to see Gamora and Peter rekindle in the long run. So perhaps not all hope is lost yet. Personally I don’t see anyone else fit for the role. If we’re fortunate, maybe we’ll see her for the imminent fight against the Council of Kangs. Either way, Zoe is grateful for all the positive feedback on her portrayal especially from the female fan base. Karen Gillan did express interest in portraying Nebula again. I would personally hope so, because we’ve seen an immense amount of character development from her – especially with Volume 2, Endgame, and this film.

Bloner

This movie was an emotional rollercoaster lmao

Steven Jump

Did you guys react to Echo yet? I can't recall if you did or not. After, Deadpool & Wolverine there is Agatha All Along. It's a sequel to WandaVision. It's really good. This was Gunn's farewell to the MCU. He is now in charge of DC's universe going forward. It starts with the cartoon series Creature Commandos. Then next summer is his Superman movie.

Mack

LOL the guy you said that looks like sid from Toy Story actually in an interview he did say a lady said he looked like Sid from Toy Story without knowing he's a famous actor haha

Chase Schleich

This version of The Guardians is over. Most of them have been in 5 or 6 total Marvel films by this point which is the end of their 2nd contract plus James Gunn who directed all 3 Guardians films is now the head of the new D.C. Universe (starting with Superman next year) so some of the Guardians cast followed him over to D.C. and will be in future D.C. films instead of Marvel films. I'm sure the new Guardians team will make an appearance in the next couple of Avengers films and will likely get a new film if they can find a director who could possibly replace Gunn which is a tough job.

TheOctobers

omg so it's not him lol they look similar! i think it's the eye brows!

TheOctobers

honestly we thought about you this movie since you told us along time ago we are gonna love this one!

TheOctobers

in this one, there was way too much crying lol!

The "old guy" in the Ravagers is Sylvester Stallone. He's a very famous actor, best known for the "Rocky" and "Rambo" movies.

K'Banj

I was starting to believe I was the only one who saw the chemistry and budding romance between Drax and Mantis! I am still hoping that she comes back after discovering herself and they end up together!

Andrea Bunting

My all time favorite characters and movie. I fell in love with Groot. Everywhere you look in my house you will see Groot. 2 years ago while I was in Vegas I had Groot tattooed on my right forearm. I've had hundreds of comments on it. I got it because in 2020 I lost my home in a wildfire. Nothing but ash was left. All my Groot stuff was gone. That's when I started tattooing. No one could take it away from me if it was permanently on my skin.

Draco

Yall talked through the first F-bomb in marvel lmao
