true. i think it’s more so if they scratch or bite you they are directly infecting the virus into the bloodstream which causes the fever and other symptoms until they die and turn. i think when people are alive the virus or disease is just dormant until death but they still carry it. so if they zombie blood or brains gets on their face or partly in the mouth it doesn’t do anything since it’s not going into any open sore or wound making contact with their bloodstream it’s just disgusting. or it could just be the writers with a plot hole lol

Pretty sure it's a plot hole. If it was a blood-borne pathogen, once you get it in your eyes or mouth, you're infected.

The Governor is giving me cult leader vibes and wants Andrea to procreate/make another Penny. It’s so interesting cause he seems so smart and calculating then acts delusional pretending his daughter’s alive. I’ve noticed a shift this season with how realistic the show feels and I’m not sure how I feel about it. There’s more interesting plot points but I think I’d still prefer the survival aspects to be prominent and not easily resolved or waved away.
