I’ve never been into anime stuff much but I know it’s huge. I did watch some of full metal alchemist brotherhood and thought that it was actually pretty damn good so I’m sure people will probably recommend that one as well but shit I’m here now lol I’ll get into here if you are.

I've got an auditory processing issue. I like sub but it's easier to comprehend dub. What you said was a little insensitive and hurtful. And there are others out there that for whatever reason can't get behind sub as much as they would like. A friend of mine is dyslexic and can't read the subtitles properly in order to understand fully what's going on. His ears work just fine.

I am not an anime fan BUT my adult daughter talked me into watching AoT with her and it’s amazing! Soooo much happens and it’s one of those shows that, if you rewatch, you’ll see clues to stuff you never even thought of that have yet to happen. Such a great story! I watched in both dub and Japanese and to be honest I preferred the dub cause I like to be able to watch what’s happening on screen instead of looking down to read and missing stuff. That’s just me though I guess. With live action I say watch in the intended language. But for animated stuff, the mouths don’t match the words anyway. To each their own

Demon Slayer is beautifully Illustrated and something you should probably get into. Blue-eyed Samurai is very theatrical and it makes me feel like I'm playing the game Ghost of tsushima. The animation is beautiful. Another really good suggestion. The legend of Vox machina is delightful. It's not what you would call an anime per se. More like a western animation. But it is good. A D&D campaign animated is what it is. And another dark themed anime would probably be Castlevania. This is based on the video game of the same title and it is really really good. Who doesn't like a good story about vampires LOL? And if you've never seen it you should probably check out avatar The Last Airbender. There Is a reason why it has such a massive following. Anywho there are a bunch of good ones out there that will hold your attention. Can't wait to get into them with you

Are you able to put the face circles at the top of the screen instead of the bottom? I’d worry that putting the show in a smaller window might make the subtitles too small for people who watch on their phones. As for other shows to do, I’d be down for you guys to check out a couple different popular pilots and pick your favorite. There’s so many different genres and styles within anime/animation and huge fan bases for all of it so there’s space for variety on this channel.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - dub or sub, both are top tier. They are especially good for people that are starting their anime journey. Also a big plus is that its something completely different of what you all have been watching so far. Might be a refreshing change of pace.

love all their reactions, just not into this stuff. you obviously get the vocal majority, so figured I'd give my take, which is I just don't care for anime. I liked a few series and a few movies, that's it. Not into the OTT characters, crazy storylines, and in this case reading the entire dialogue of every single episode. Even as a kid, I preferred the live-action Disney and kids movies, never cared for any of the cartoons after a single watch. Just my own opinion, nothing against anime or the people who love it, I'm just not one of them.

Invincible is a cartoon from The Walking Dead creator, it is not anime. And I have never seen Attack on Titan, but I may as well start this journey with you as I hear it is so good.

sorry, i don't want to have to read subtitles to understand whats happening. I watch this channel while I work, I need to be able to hear the dialog and be able to glance once in a while to see whats happening. I cannot sit here and read a book lmao

Well, since you asked - Avatar the Last Air Bender would be a great one for you guys to watch. Not exactly an anime, but it's animated. Such a great story! I watched that with my son before watching this with my daughter. I know you two would love it. I thought it was just going to be a corny cartoon but it gets really deep.

Mate, I'll be missing 75% of the the show because my primary concern is understanding what they are saying. I'll get distracted trying watch what's happening that I'll forget to read like some fast line and have to rewind. Not all dubs are bad, grow up and move on.

It'd also be great to see your reactions to the ending songs and visuals at least once, and every time they change. There's some good songs and the artwork is sometimes relevant to events in the show.

Totally would have kept my subscription to watch this if it was dub. They put so much work into making the dubbed English versions of anime. They’re so good. I know you called out both sides being disappointed, but the sub crowd is definitely way louder and more aggressive with their “you need to respect the original artwork in the original language” POV… It’s a bummer that kind of peer pressure influences people’s decisions.

These hugely popular anime shows have the best studios in the game doing the dub voice acting as well. It’s just as good, even better for those that want or need the audio to be English.
