I'm with yall on the friends deal. I live in a smaller town but alot of my hobbies and interest don't normally fit in with small town life. I'm a metal head toy collector and there aren't too many people I know that have the same interests. I've said this many times but my favorite part of yalls vids is the crazy random intros. Dang, I'd love to hang out with ya'll. We don't have friends either....there's no good options where we are. My best friend for most of my life was in a bad car accident and doesn't remember most of her life. Luckily she's ok, but our friendship is a mystery to her. It sucks. Good friends are hard to find. That's awesome that you played softball like that. I played a little through middle school. I'd be interested in hearing about that....sounds awesome! I love yall's stories you crack me up!

Making friends as an adult is hard, the free time everyone has is often different. Interests are broader. Kids eat up a lot of the time that work or house work hasn't eaten. I don't even have kids yet and I don't have time for friends, and the time I do have, my friends don't.

It does sound like you are running into some strange people who have social anxiety. Y'all are extroverts and that must really sting to come back from these gatherings and not make a connection. I haven't had a face-to-face friend since I was 17. And I was a teen mom, which didn't help with my social life. LOL I am 54 years old now (married to my child's dad) and the internet just really helped me feel less lonely. My husband was a trucker for a long time, so watching reactions were a way I could feel like I had friends. I know that sounds so sad! My internet friends I made from gaming online are some of the best people I know and I've had them for over 12 years now. Are there hobbies that y'all always wanted to try out? Maybe connecting with like-minded social groups could help. Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people!

we are currently working on the hobby thing! our son played baseball last spring and we had some similar issues lol but we are trying to volunteer at the school more and be more involved in that regard!

Catcher and/or 3rd base. I loved it but I ended up in Color Guard for High School. I really loved that as well. My sister played softball for 10 years though. She was 1st base.

Where I live the people are either much older than me or much younger. I'm in my early 30s so its tough around here, I live in an area that is super family friendly and has a lot to offer entertainment wise but some of the people just don't want to talk. The only friends I do have are a couple online buddies and some from my old high school. I'm not a big drinker and I've never smoked anything but I do love a little wine and music lol. My kid has all the friends though and that makes me happy. So I've been thinking about joining my local astronomy club and see whats good, just got myself a new telescope lol.

I was so bummed they change the line to "screwin'". The line is straight from the comics and I remember hearing it the first time and just got chills! Eta: I mean the first airing was "fuckin'" and I guess reruns got changed to "screwin'".

Now that we're here I can tell ya what the fans call these people, they're "termites". I love this finale episode, Rick ripping that a-hole's throat out, him noticing everyone's things being worn by the termites, and that ending line! Soooo good.

The friend thing....you live in a different era....social media has ruined being social. In the 70s we were outside. Made friends down the street and school. But my house was the party house. We had bbq's every week end. You can't really trust people any more, I have a rule, if we go out to lunch no cell phones....same in my house.
