I actually think this is one of the reasons why Off Campus is so popular. It might be the least toxic love story I’ve ever seen portrayed on television. Shows normally like to use toxicity to pit friends against each other to manufacture drama and Off Campus broke that cycle. I still love One Tree Hill.

I just wanted to say how I hated how Lucas was bringing up forgiving Brooke for sleeping with Chris Keller even tho they weren’t even together at that point. While way before that when they were dating he literally was making out with Peyton and was gonna do more before the necklace was stuck and then they kiss again while he’s dating Brooke again he just doesn’t deserve Brooke I stand by that

Peyton and Lucas suck idc what people say, I’ve seen the whole show and I’ve always maintained that Peyton and Lucas, Lucas especially suck. Like seriously why would tell your supposed best friend that you love her boyfriend if you didn’t plan on doing something about it? I still don’t understand what she thought was gonna happen? Did she expect Brooke to be all “oh it’s ok thank you for telling me.” Sorry for the rant these episodes just piss me off and Brooke deserves better than both of them.

I also wanna say I hate how Peyton was just trying to victim blame and get upset with Brooke because she was mad about Peyton’s feeling for HER boyfriend again and then she was questioning Brooke’s about her love for Lucas .

Lucas having completely different hair from end of S3 to start of S4 when it's supposed to be literally a few minutes later kills me every time LOL. Also maybe I'm biased because Brooke's my favorite but I really don't blame her at all for how she handles the situation with Peyton. No hate to the actress and when she has storylines not involved around Lucas and the bullshit love triangle I actually like Peyton. But in this case she's completely in the wrong at EVERY turn. Like you tell your BEST friend, who you already betrayed in the past (with the same boy, mind you) that you love HER boyfriend and expect her to be like 'oh it's ok' without even giving her time to process it. You have the audacity to ask her if she loves him (which even if she doesn't is CRAZY to ask since it's still her freaking boyfriend, as if it makes you morally in the right to be in love with someone else's boyfriend if she doesn't love him as much as you do) and tries to emotionally manipulate her with tales of their friendship when Brooke just (rightfully) continues to be mad at her. Like, I'm sorry I get it's a TV show but if MY best friend kissed my boyfriend MULTIPLE times behind my back, I would never speak to her again. And if by some miracle I gave her a second chance and she uses that to tell me she's in love with my boyfriend (The same one too) AGAIN, I'm sorry but no, like there's no way I forgive you. Especially because you tell me like I'm supposed to feel bad for you, when if you were an actual good friend, you would keep it to yourself, NEVER act on it and move on. And about Brooke with Lucas, I don't like them together (I think Lucas is a boring character, Chad's acting sometimes doesn't help, I think she deserves better than him, and I HATED him throwing the Chris Keller thing in her face), but I understand why she didn't break up with him immediately like she cut off all ties with Peyton. I think the slow dance at the end of the ep is her trying to figure it if she actually loves him (since Peyton planted that seed in her mind). Obviously the library kiss doesn't help, but I think she's more mad about Lucas keeping it from her than the fact it happened since it did happen when Peyton was 'dying' (even if I hate that reason). Despite everything Lucas is still her first and right now greatest love, and they've been together for a while, so right now Brooke is most mad about Peyton being in love with him instead of them actively sneaking around like before, so I get why she isn't as mad with Lucas initially (though I don't really agree with it even if Peyton is still the one most in the wrong here), and I like that she does end up breaking up with him not even an episode later because she REALLY thought about it, and finally realized he doesn't value her as much as she does him, or as much as he does Peyton (despite him saying otherwise). Anyway, sorry for the long ass comment, season 4 is a wild ride and I can't wait for you to see it❤️

I agree with everything but just wanted to add one thing here: if you replay the kiss, Peyton kissed him, he was surprised but it’s not like he was kissing her back. It was a peck, one that Peyton initiated and Lucas like he said simply let her. Was it wrong? Yes. Does it count as Lucas choosing to kiss her? No, in my opinion. Yes Lucas and Brooke ran their course but it’s not cuz he “cheated”. They just weren’t right for each other personality wise and what they need from a relationship.

Dan being haunted is the least the writers could do. He truly deserves so much worse. I mentioned back in season one that he goes through moments where you think he learned his lesson, but no. I enjoy your reactions so much that I forget that you're younger, because it feels like I'm watching a show with my friend, but yes, we had phones that worked like a walkie-talkie at that time. It's crazy to think about how much has happened in 20 years.

I think, because Peyton kissed Lucas and not really the other way around, the kiss COULD be forgiveable in regards to Lucas/Brooke. The bigger problem is Lucas never telling Brooke it happened. I think Brooke could have moved past it if Lucas brought it up on his own omission earlier.

Peyton doesn't deserve Brooke as a friend. Like i get that she can't control her feelings for Lucas but she can control her actions on what she does about it. Friends don't kiss their friends significant others. Brooke deserves better. I know Brooke isn't the best about some of the actions she does either but she wouldn't do something like this!

I'm sorry, this show will never make me feel sorry for Brooke in this situation. I will say this until I'm blue in the face that she chose to be with this man, knowing that he had feelings for another girl, and knowing that the other girl also had feelings for him. There is a significant distinction between liking, loving, and being in love with someone. But I agree that Peyton shouldn't have asked Brooke that question. I don't know if I agree with you about Peyton gaslighting Brooke. I don't think she gaslights her. Now I will say Rachel is about to piss me off in these upcoming episodes but like Cooper chose to get in that limo with Rachel. He could have told someone. He chose not to pull over the limo when Rachel asked him. IDC what Rachel told him like when a woman tells you to pull over like you pull over. Nathan chose to jump into the water instead of calling for help. Like how is it the drunk girl fault that two sober idiots did what they did? They could have handled the situation better starting with the thirty-something man who didn't have to get in the car in the first place. Also why was Rachel even at the wedding in the first place? Was she Hayley's guest or Nathan's guest? They all insist they don't like Rachel but she somehow ended up with a wedding invitation. I understand why Hayley was angry, but she also rubbed me the wrong way in that scene like how she was blaming Rachel. Like why was the keys even in the limo? Cooper didn't have to get in the car with a drunk teenager, and when she asked him to pull off calmly, like he should have, he pulled over. And Nathan didn't have to jump into the water after them like he chose to play 'hero' instead of just waiting beside his wife and let's be clear he jumped into water for his uncle not Rachel. Also I understand why Deb tried to killed Dan. And I supported it. But now I also understand why Dan is coming for her now too. Because how do you tried to kill someone, fail and then tell the person that you tried to kill them? I don't feel bad for Dan or Deb? And I hate that line from Karen 'when I do I get back to you' because are we supposed to think that Karen from past three seasons has never got over Dan not loving her in high school?

A lot of people think we hate Layton bc of the technicalities within every time they cheated but in reality we hate them bc the characters are written to NEVER take responsability for their actions and it's all part of their 'love' story arc but it's actually just a horror story lmao. The wedding was the only happy part of these two episodes, and the fact that Karen is pregnant again, but everything else was a mess. I am so over Peyton, Brooke, and Lucas; it is old and no longer interesting—not that it ever was, but in the beginning, it made sense that something like that was going to happen. But now they have milked it dry, for a long time already, and yet they keep going like this, and I am so over it. That slap Brooke gave Peyton was deserved, in my opinion, because Peyton was doing too much, and I am so over it, I am so over it, how Peyton, and also Lucas, blame Brooke, while it isn't her fault, but Peyton and Lucas's, and I am glad that Brooke finally broke up with Lucas, and I hope that stays that way now. I am also so over that whole business with Rachel and Cooper. Rachel, girl, you are a minor and Cooper wants to do the right thing now that he knows the truth, and I just want her to accept that, but apparently that isn't happening right now and I want to know what happened there with Cooper and Nathan, underwater, because there is something Nathan isn't telling and I want him to say what happened there. Poor Nathan and Haley too, they were going on their honeymoon and now Nathan has ended up in the hospital again, because he was a hero for saving Cooper and Rachel, which was very sweet of him, but that car crash should never have happened and I hope Nathan gets the help he needs, because he definitely has PTSD as you said and I hope he talks about this with Haley. And Deb, why did you tell Dan that, about wanting to kill him, knowing that he killed Keith, because he thought Keith had tried to kill him, I don't quite get that. And Brooke is pregnant now?! What a mess, I have a feeling this season is going to be hugely messy, if only this was only episode 1? Help.

I think you're forgetting Deb doesn't know that Dan killed Keith since everyone is under the impression it was Jimmy who killed him. She told Dan the truth because she doesn't want to use Keith's name for something bad she did and tarnish his memory in her eyes. Pretty dumb to tell him anyway but I do understand why.

i watched this whole show 3 times this is my 4th and i still can't believe peyton had the nerve to play victim. like actually fuck her, fuck lucas too. they literally just play in brookes face like js bc you guys are miserable doesn't mean you have to hurt and annoy everyone around you (specifically brooke). i have so much to say but im going to save it bc omg. but dan is pissing me tf offfff but at this point when is he not. and last thing, poor sophia, she was going through it bro bc that scene, "I need you to need me back" was while they were like going through their divorce smh. ( ALSO this season is outstanding but high key gave me like paranoia 😘)

Not so fun fact but the Actresses from Descendants Wicked wonderland Kylie and Malia are going through a very similar thing like Peyton and Brooke are with Kylie was in a relationship and 3 days after they broke up Malia started dating them and now that I know about that and added on to this show it feels so crazy and very Annoying that this is something that can happen in real life.
