Hewwo!First I just want to say big welcome again to my new patrons (and thanks to you who's been here for long for sticking with me), you guys are my heroes. ❤️ In my last post I mentioned that I set a goal to reach 35 patrons, and we're already just 2 patrons away!

What we used to like to do as kids is a beacon in finding what you enjoy to do again. If you're someone like me who has gotten way too achievement orientated, or if you're just someone who feels directionless or bored - I highly recommend looking back to what made you happy before shame, achievement, grades, responsibility, expectations etc. came in to play.

I came to realise that for me, as a kid, two of my favourite things to do was to draw and to write. I did some cleaning up in my old stuff and found lots of old stories I started writing. They were bold and (probably unintentionally) funny. My characters were interesting and imperfect. It was all before I became too scared to not write perfectly. Before I thought you became loved by being perfect.

So I have this idea to find back to writing again. Mostly for me, for fun. But I have this platform now, I have a community I can share my stories with to motivate me to keep going. I have a website right here that I don't use nearly enough, and so I realised I have a perfect platform for creative expression!

This is the baby stage of this project, but I want to create and share a multi-parted interactive story that I'll post on my website.

Hear me out, I have this story. It's about this person. You with me? Something happens, la la la da da laaaa and so on. BOOM! End of chapter but... what happens next? What decision do they make? That's where you come in. I'll have a poll ready where you can choose between a set of different decisions without knowing the outcome of this decision. Then the one with most votes will be the one I have to go with to move on with the story! Then you wait as I write and when I have it published I'll have another poll ready until the story comes to its end.

I'll keep you updated! I'd love to know what you think of this idea and what you loved to do as a kid. ❤️

All the love~ Joy

Can't wait to see what you write and thinking about what made me happy before shame is so interesting, I think now there were so many things I stopped doing that I loved just because I was "too old" or that was "weird" by the social norm and i spent so many years trying to fit in by the time I realized that wouldn't make me happy I forgot who I truly was before I tried to be popular. I only wish I could go back in time and tell my kid self to just be you, be the weird loud, kind and goofy ADHD filled kid and forget what everyone else thinks because someday you will find people who love you for who you truly are.

This is going to be so cool !! Fantastic idea, can't wait to see what you will create! :D I was always into sci-fi stuff and videogames, got into Star Wars when i was like 6-7 years old (gaaawd, that's more than 20 years ago...) when Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace game came out for the original Playstation and i've never stopped being a massive geek. I was the weirdo who was prentending to be Darth Maul with a giant stick outside (luckily don't do taht anymore). ;)

Ah thank you so much for sharing! It's an interesting journey to make isn't it, to try and figure out what we used to love before shame and norms. I totally understand you want to go back and tell your kid self that, but you know, in a way you still can! I think we'll always carry that child in us, because it's still us you know, we've just got more years on our necks! So tell yourself that now and unravel the things you stopped loving and do them now, for you! You got this, and I'll always be cheering you on! <3

Ah thank you so much! ^-^ Your encouragement makes me so happy! Ahh that's so nice, it's good to hear! Glad you didn't let go of that but continued to enjoy it throughout these years. Definitely continue with that. *-* Hahah omg I love that! And relatable, except I used to pretend I could do magic or was a pokémon haha.
