Thank you for the warm welcome back after my little time off ;-; I couldn't possibly be more filled with love. <3

My time on Twitch and the side-project of JoyAileenSim on Youtube unexpectedly helped me realise just how much I want to help people relax, find ease and unite with themselves. Wouldn't have thought that when I was stubbornly crying over Nameless King in DS3 some years back now heh.

I fell in love with Yoga my very first class 10 years ago. It turned out to be the remedy I need for my anxious heart, weary body and self-critical mind.

I actually wanted to start hatha yoga as early as 2005, but the tiny village I grew up in only had one class (remarkably enough there was one to begin with!) that was already full. Instead I was offered to join a belly dance class and somehow I ended up doing that for 5 years haha!

When I studied acting (5 years ago now!) I was able to dedicate much of my time to yoga and deepen my practice. At that time I (somehow) found the courage to teach people on my school! You best believe I was a nervous wreck at the start, though quickly felt like a fish in the water. Truly, a place I belonged, to guide, sooth and support others in search of that ease I had come to unravel through yoga. I even got to hold a class for those in recovery from a stroke. It was deeply fulfilling to me, and even deeply appreciated by others.

That time, 5 years ago, was a time of healing for me. I was dangerously underweight and struggled from trauma and pain. The acting, time spent with my classmates, therapy and my yoga practice, allowed me to slowly heal wounds that needed my urgent attention.

I now, interesting enough, I find myself in a similar time of healing and deepening my yoga practice. I feel like I get to pick up where I left off in that journey towards ease. Though this time, I feel a strong pull to learn about all 8 limbs of yoga and not just the physical practice (the asana) so many of us know yoga as. I believe this will not only help me heal truly and fully, but be able to guide others like never before.

Now this is where you really come into the picture :D I want to take you on this journey too. Whatever you may need, I'd love to get a chance to help act as a bridge.

Like I talked about in my last heart-to-heart post, I believe you already have everything you need to feel inner peace (shanti), but sometimes to have someone nudge you in the right direction or simply cheer you on, can make a massive difference. Regardless if you just want to sleep better or if you long to sooth your anxiety, it'd be a great honour to support you.

My intention is to save up money to have a real proper 'yoga instructor certificate', but I'd love to gently guide in the ways I'm confident I am capable of doing already.

I'll kick off with light guided meditations and since you are my patron I can offer downloadable audio files for you if that's something you'd be interesting in. You can vote to let me know here! (updated link!) You don't have to know anything about meditation to join these, but it should also suit those of you who have practiced for years.

That's it for now! To say I'm inspired for this journey is a vast understatement. This is the real deal, this one comes from my core. I wish you a wonderful rest of your week and many moments of joy!I'M FINALLY DOING IT AAH! <3

Lots of love,~Joy

Joy, let me first start with saying thank you 💚 I'm one of the many people you've helped with just being the wonderful person you are. Your wonderful advise that you've given me and the amount of support and inspiration you've also given me, makes me want to cry because I feel so blessed <3 Cheering people on, making them feel seen and safe. This is something you've done for a long time to a lot of people. Deepening this ability you have to help people is so wonderful and something that fits you so much. Yoga and meditation is something I'm super excited to dive into, with you as a guiding light 💚 You know you have a voice, because of your wonderful songs, but I want you to know that not only with singing is your voice magical and beautiful! Talking and guiding is something you're also really good at and you have the perfect voice for it. Every time you talk about health and wellbeing you can just hear it in your voice, the happiness that you find in this and that makes us around you so happy and so at peace <3 We all feel lost and uncertain at times in life, finding a balance within you and to have this place you can come to so you can get some energy back is wonderful! I love you Joy and I'm so frickin proud of you 😭 you're doing it! You're moving forward with your passion and you're at the start of this wonderful journey that will not only inspire us but you as well.

Firstly I love that you went to do yoga and ended up doing belly dancing. Such a difference. It reminded me of the day I went to adopt a rabbit and came home with a cat haha. Secondly, I've recently got really into mindfulness meditations twice a day (lunch time and to help sleep) and omg I feel so much happier from it. I really want to get into yoga, I've tried yoga with adrienne and I enjoyed it but don't think I was properly in the mindset at the time but now I feel like I'm beginning to a Master meditation more I might have to try a bit of yoga again and see if I enjoy it properly. oh my gosh, this is so special to me 😭 Thank you 💛 It means the absolute world to know I am able to help guide you. Thank you so deeply for these beautiful words I'll definitely carry this with me as I head into the journey of more "dedicated" wellness content. Makes me so happy to hear you want to join this journey too. Thank you thank you thank youuuuuu <3

Hahaha ahh yes, it was definitely unexpected! Life takes interesting turns at times haha. Omg I love you came home with a cat instead haha! My gosh, doesn't meditation make such a difference to our every day! It can be hard to show up but once we're there it's always worth it. Yoga is a lot like moving meditation after all, I'm confident you'll find value in it as well. Perhaps look into yin yoga or restorative yoga as a bridge from the meditation you already know to yoga. <3 lots of love to you!
