What is something an author includes in an article that immediately makes you more suspicious? For me, any inclusion of AI slop like generated images and text hurts an article’s credibility because it shows the author is either too lazy to do the work themselves or doesn’t care about the quality of tech reporting

How much do you think the current state of tech journalism is due to the increased prevalence of freelance writers who are paid per article rather than being considered actual employees?

How many of the problems with tech journalism exist because the space is bifurcated into consumer POV/aligned and more business focused, hyper specific outlets? I know that Karbin Cry has ranted before about pro-consumer bias in tech journalism, but isn't that what should be expected from all the sites/channels that were created to provide information to consumers and de facto represent their desire for good price/performance products? If anything, it seems like there's a missing middle that tries to educate both sides on the other's POV.

Badly written articles are a dime a dozen. How do you decide that it’s worth responding to a particular article?

Lately I’ve gotten the sense that accusing someone of using AI in their work is becoming the modern equivalent of accusing someone of being a witch - a cheap and convenient attack that is impossible to disprove and designed to whip up a mob. What other emotionally manipulative tactics would you suggest viewers be on their guard against?

What would be the benefits of having a "Ground News" and/or "Media Bias Chart" equivalent for tech journalism? How would you construct this chart?

How do you as writer keep sanity and avoid fate of some indie game devs who lost it in social media when people simply didnt get it?
