Hell yeah 300!! Thank you so much for the many, many hours of delight and insight. This Gary has been listening since literal week one after, I believe, hearing Joe on LGM announce it was coming(?), and, in the midst of (the millennial normal) financial precariousness, joined the Patreon the day it was announced for the first and only time supporting a specific podcast, because you guys are my FAVORITE! I go back and revisit old episodes on occasion, and I’ve never missed one to begin with. Of course I know we’re not actual friends, but you are friends to me, and I am so grateful for the joy you give so dependably. 💜

I just remember being home for the holidays the year this movie came out, after some of the initial reviews had come out, and my brother (who isn't a huge film guy) suggested this as a potential movie to watch. The look of confused horror as I told him about what the premise really was...man, that was priceless

I have not listened to a single episode of the 70s Extravaganza yet because I found it so inspiring that I am watching every noteworthy 70s movie I can get my hands on first (I think I'll get to 1970 episode this week, wish me luck!). Through international sojourns, a global pandemic, and a cross-country move, this podcast has truly provided so much comfort--thank you, Joe and Chris, for creating such a smart, incisive, insightful, and truly hilarious weekly oasis in this increasingly hellish world.

Regarding Smith and Cruise, Will Smith did take more of a dramatic risk early in his career with Six Degrees of Separation - which he is fantastic in. Its one of my fav Smith performance and one of my favorite movies. But he ended up running from those type of projects instead of doing more.
