Clint

the 2012 roundtable 🫡 (though technically not a “roundtable” as they had the actresses sitting on couches that year…why do i know/remember this?)

Marshall Shaffer

2018 purely on the basis of the way Kathryn Hahn looks at Rachel Weisz.

Eoin Daly

2018. Just for the theme of red. Bisexual learing of Kathryn Hahn towards Rachel Weisz (wouldn’t we all), Glenn and Lady Gaga history. And also the brilliance of Regina in 2018 and Kidman in the post BLL success where it felt like she could do anything

Brady Thomas

2018 because I feel like, depending on how Venice goes for Joker, it could be opportune to compare Gaga’s first Oscar’s rodeo with what could be the start of her next one. Also, Rachel Weisz

Keegon

Every excursion should involve at least a two to three minute discussion of Kathryn Hahn falling in love with Rachel Weisz in real time. So even if something else wins, please discuss that.

MJ

I love the Weisz/Hahn of it all but I couldn’t resist voting for Cate Blanchett being vaguely mean to Kate Winslet and praising Jane Fonda’s performance in They Shoot Horses…

Lance Hunter

Just reminding everyone: 2018 is the year we were treated to Rachel Weisz and Kathryn Hahn creating an entire sapphic romance sub-plot for themselves, using only looks and gestures.

Ruan Felipe

You guys knew exactly the winning one here tbh

Taylor Cole

Look, we ALL love the Weisz/Hahn subplot. But it’s kind of been done to death. But 2012, we get unstructured, unmoored Marion Cotillard. Give yourself that gift!

Chris Sullivan

Looks like I'm the only one who will always choose Amy adams over everyone else....

Janine Liberty

Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren, and Charlotte Rampling?! 2015 all the way baby

Ashley L

Thought it was hard till I saw gaga, then it was a no brainer vote

Clint

may i also suggest the 2021 los angeles times best actress “roundtable” (done via zoom) as a future option. gaga earnestly asking the other actresses (including kirsten dunst, kstew, penelope cruz) if they also pretend to taste alcohol/feel drunk whenever they drink on screen 🤭

John Ananias

The Weisz-Hahn of it all is drawing me toward the 2018 edition.

Garrietta

I just watched the latter three to prep, but couldn’t find the 2012 one. Where did y’all find it - help a Gary out? 🙏

Grace Wire

Just voted 2015 bc of how much I adore both C/Kates. But if we end up going with Hahn and Weiss I will be energized, as always, by the Bi Panic of it all 😍

J Kyle Wilsor

I couldn’t care less about Felicity Jones (neutral unimpressed), but the rest of that 2014 lineup is IT. I get why 2018 is in the lead — legends, all — but I think the 2014 conversation is SO INTERESTING

Garrietta

Has the 2010 roundtable been discussed in a deep dive way? That one is legendary.
