Liesl

Thank you for gifting us with all of these great updates! And I'm very grateful that the M4Gs gave my Movies Fantasy League team a much-needed boost in points.

Chas

Was waiting all day for this! Thank you! 🙏🏻

Benji Black

Shout out to the M4Gs for remembering June Squibb in Thelma. That would be a nice Oscar nomination but is unlikely to actually happen.

Liam Gallagher

I respect the M4Gs for insisting that a time capsule doesn’t need to be a good thing. Sometimes you dig up horrible memories.

Kara Hogan

M4Gs giving me the boost I needed to be on top of my VMFL mini-league this week (until next week when I am obliterated by the Wickediator drafters)!

John Ananias

I feel the EXACT same way about Isabella Rossellini in CONCLAVE as one Joe Reid - if-when she gets the Oscar nomination, I'll go, "Well, okaaaay, but...I don't know..."

Bobby Scanlon Jr.

39:24 I need the soundbite of Joe saying “It’s gonna be a long fuckin’ season.” to be apart of the opening song. 💃🏻

Bobby Scanlon Jr.

Any thoughts on Glenn Close’s lifetime achievement award fellas?

Seth

racking up more Sing Sing points for my fantasy team (and maybe my only Superman points)

I agree with Joe about the Rossellini situation— I went into Conclave aware of how small her role was, but the “impact” of her three-sentence-long “speech” was hardly the mic drop other awards prognosticators had led me to believe it would be. Her “adversary in commerce” scene in Joy had more juice than the curtsy in Conclave…Maybe the buzz leads to her getting an honorary Oscar next year similar to how Angela Bassett got one after losing for Black Panther 2?

Carson Shofner

I disagree with the Isabella Rossellini slander!

Amelia Burger

I agree with Joe about Isabella Rossellini in Conclave but I get the feeling we are in the minority, though I also don't know if that vibe is based on anything. to the extent anything means anything, is it notable that Emilia Perez is a movie for grownups and Anora is not? (only EP is on my MFL roster so my mind is constantly pitting them against each other and also looking for signs of hope.) I guess M4G energy might be more along the lines of the slightly older woman leaving the IFC center next to me gushing about "the artistry" of Emilia Pérez and not necessarily signalling mainstream appeal

Christopher Z

I'm not sure Isabella makes my 5, but I'd be happy with it. My audience of a random people on a Friday night clapped to close her big scene.

Clint

with a complete unknown coming out, it could be a good time to do a factory girl episode…

Pella's Window

I set behind Winnie Holzman at a rep screening of Breaking Away the weekend after Wicked premiered in 2003. Also Paul Dooley was there.

Hayley

“What is your question, Gary?” is sending me in the nicest way.
