Sound the alarm, you the Garys have decided the top 10 films of 2025! Massive thanks to all the Garys who submitted their own top 10 ballot, and voting is now open for the final winner. Voting will be open until SAT FEB 14 at 9PM EST!!

As a reminder: we decide a winner based on a preferential ballot, just like the Academy (explainer here). In the doc linked to this post, you will provide your ranking for the ten films that make up the Gary Best Picture lineup for the past year. That means you pick your favorite as your FIRST place film, your second favorite as your SECOND place, your least favorite as LAST place, etc. Remember, duplicate answers will be discarded (it doesn't help a movie's chances to only vote for it in all slots, anyway).

As usual, you will also get 10 runner-ups on the Superlatives! And don't forgot the thread below to comment/like for the Gary-selected CATEGORY. For the first time, the Garys have selected FOUR films in their top 10 that are not on Oscar's Best Picture lineup. Your Gary Grolsch People's Choice Award nominees are...

OBAA is my #1, but I put It Was Just an Accident (my #2) at 1 instead because 1) I don’t want it to be eliminated first and 2) I’m still bummed it didn’t get in for picture or director.

Isa Paley

The Secret Agent 💔

Dom

No Black Bag and no Blue Moon. I will struggle on bravely regardless

WerqShop

Is it too late to nominate 'Almost Golden: The Jessica Savitch Story', the best film of 2025 or any year in history?

Clare

Shoutout to the Garys who remembered Sentimental Value, which I somehow forgot?? and therefore didn't put in on my original ballot. You're the real ones.

Jake D

1) Train Dreams 2) It Was Just an Accident 3) Hamnet 4) Sentimental Value not a year of great alignment between me and the Oscars. no one else voted for Rebuilding or Twinless or On Becoming a Guinea Fowl or Sorry Baby???

WerqShop

I felt viscerally assaulted by both Marty Supreme and Hamnet

Amelia Burger

nobody tell brazil about this (i haven’t seen the secret agent yet and also i forgot to vote🙃)

Sam Hetherington

I didn’t see No Other Choice in in time for the first round of voting but I’m so glad I get to place it very high now I’ve seen it ☺️

Gosia

release the votes! Would love to see how everyone voted. I thought there would be more deviation from the Academy but at least better than last year when there was a lot of overlap.

Stephanie Radcliffe

Sweet, I didn't know there was going to be a final ballot and I forgot No Other Choice on mine!

Evan Tait

Blue Moon not being on there feels like we need to talk with Amal Clooney about trying this particular war crime.

The Deadly Bulb

Feels very chalky, where did our weird go 😭
