Lily Gladstone gives a masterclass in acting using silence and internal thought. I found her riveting. All of her acting choices, physical behavior... it didn't even appear that she was acting, she was just so naturally in the scene. I think this was a best actress performance even though she's not in the entire movie. She's so crucial to the story.

In The Mouth of Madness is my favorite horror movie of all time! I also (unintentionally) had perhaps the optimal viewing experience: I saw this movie in the theater; a Sunday matinee on opening weekend. I was literally the only person in the entire place. I also had my large popcorn in my lap just like Sam Neill. When the movie was over I was absolutely chilled. I knew intellectually that the world hadn't come to an end, but emotionally I did kinda feel worried about what I'd find when I stepped outside.

speaking of horror movies and the oscars, i just watched testament (1983) for the first time and wow! a very good, very bleak apocalyptic family drama. and jane alexander getting nominated for best actress was so well deserved and such a cool nom!

Recently saw Certain Women and wow wow at Lily’s performance 💔
