i like to think that woosan are in a qpr relationship and this interview just validates my delusions. Also it’s funny how the interview made it look like wooyoung is the only one that kisses people, when since debut san also loves to kiss the members and hug them etc.

I thought there was a really interesting conversation / interview when San Wooyoung and Seonghwa went on that baby show which made me think similair things you mentioned here about the way the two were raised actually, even years ago! Wooyoung says in it that he communicates with San's dad a lot and while his dad isn't the expressive type, he clearly loves San a lot- and then San says once he'd left the house (i.e once he was in Ateez) his dad once reached out to him with a long text saying he looks back and thinks he was too strict on San, that he should have raised him more softly that he's sorry about it etc. Part of me (parasocial headcannon incoming) feels like his father might have seen how affectionate and bright Wooyoung is with his own parents aswell as San's parents (after growing up as a "daughter-like-son" in his own words) compared to how disciplined and boundaried San was and realised it wasn't necessarily a bad thing to raise a son "softer". Especially as they say in the same interview that San's sister meanwhile was treated like a princess so I think the gender expectations of a traditional asian household really play into the whole thing. Meanwhile, Wooyoung says he kisses both San's mom and dad + we've heard him end phonecalls with San's dad with "I love you". Either way, whether it was Wooyoungs influence or something else, I do think it's really special his dad was able to reach out and say that.

I definitely agree with you about the story about his dad. He said before that when he was sick his dad wouk just tell him to endure it etc. So even if they were dating San would definitely not feel comfortable joking about this. It’s like when your family tells you to keep your gay stuff to your private life and to not talk about it in public.

i agree with your headcann i had the same thoughts. Even the story about san telling his dad to not hit his sister when he was young. You can see how strict their household was and it made sense that he mostly mentioned his grandparents during the debut era. I am glad his dad was able to reflect and realize he could have been less strict and still raise good children.

Poor San being manipulated by his Dad abusing himself is very sad. It's no wonder San was totally besotted with Wooyoungs loud, loving, personality.

I love hearing about Wooyoung as a son. I've watched some lives he's done at his parents house and its so cute how casually his little brother and mom become part of the conversation. Also, because of the 16 year difference between Wooyoung and his little brother, Wooyoung did a lot of care taking for him and is amazing with babies and small kids. I wouldn't be so Woosan pilled if Wooyoung did not embody so much maternal love and care. Especially given the male role models in San's life it makes sense why Wooyoung would be both novel and deeply appreciated. I can't help but think that whether or not they have ever dated, Wooyoung is San's ideal wife and San who is likely not consciously aware of this, is going to find it hard to find a woman to take his place. for the san dating rumors, i think he and a female staff member were seen at a phone store and people were taking photos like “OH THEY’RE DATING!!!” san basically went online to say that they weren’t dating and that people shouldn’t do stuff like that because he didn’t want people around him to be affected negatively by something so benign :,)
