Dan and Rick talk about Dan’s depression. Rick reads an erotica.

(Dan had an appointment with his doctor and is starting new meds today.)

Dan, when I have bad anxiety or a panic attack, I do two things: firstly, I recognize that the attack cannot possibly last for very long, as we're incapable of being in that state for more than a few minutes. Secondly- and this is NO BULLSHIT!! - I watch your films from the Poconos and Rolling Acres Mall. They really DO help me get back "on center." And, for THAT, I thank you! Be well, Dan...

Dan....so glad to see that you have seen your doctor and hope the new meds will work for you! We are all proud of you for doing everything you can to stay on track and not give in! I hope your fan support will help you a great deal.....I know you have helped many of us in our time of need! Love you!

it’s actually quite a bit more successfull, as far as the dats goes, to quit smoking at the same time as quitting other drugs.

The thing against her ear was an old school hearing aid. It was basically a cone that focused sound into her ear.

Dan be spending most of his life, livin' in an urbexer's paradise... :p (PS I suck at knowing what to say to people going through these things, but know that I'm genuinely sorry you're feeling that way - I hope you find some way past it)

Rick bugs the shit out've me sometimes (no offense dude, love you!), but he seems like a really good guy to have around when things aren't great. he can be really calming. Big time Dad energy. Glad you made it through that tunnel intact, big guy. Sounds terrifying.

My heart breaks for you Dan! Nicotine is highly addictive stuff! The effect is so calming for me it took everything I had to kick it! I have crazy anxiety from my work and it really calmed me. I had to find other ways to cope. I hope you champion your struggle! Thank-you Rick for being such a good friend to Dan and finally “I don’t know mother fucka make some evp’s!”

I'm late (as usual), so I hope Dan already got good answers and support from his doctor, meds etc. Hopefully, life is flowing easier (if even just a bit). Dan should have no shame about being overcome with emotion as he battles his depression while aiming to quit smoking. It's a safety mechanism. It's a very hard time to quit smoking. There's so much upheaval, disappointment and frustration happening right now (i.e.: COVID isn't gone yet). Big (and small) plans postponed (again) or cancelled outright. Relationships changing (some languishing, some ending). It doesn't particularly feel like a hopeful time, etc. For many of us (Dan included), ALL OF THE ABOVE. I hope Dan wins this battle with nicotine, but even if he falters, it's just one battle. He has quit before and he can do it again. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe in weeks or months. We can't always wait for "optimum" circumstances to make big changes, but we're not superhuman either. All I can offer is my encouragement, love and support. "Life" happens... that's the war.

The tip about the car coasting to a stop was really helpful to learn, thanks rick! I’d never thought of it that way
