Best AOT episode imo

Am

Rip Erwin✊

Russell Gambardella

For not having words at first, you did a pretty good job describing the episode haha. Masterful writing, art, cinematography, soundtrack, and next level voice acting makes it so immersive.

Samuel Mock

Amazing Jon! This is probably the best anime ever. My favorite anime ever is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It might not quite reach this but it’s very close in my opinion. Once you finish this incredible journey I hope you find time to check it out!!

Toby Young

SEASON 4 INCOMINGGGG

Bryan Raygoza

Erwins death really struck me hard. I would have gone to the depths of hell following that man. One of TVs greatest leaders.

Demo

Please Jon for the love of God. Upload the next episode before the weekend ! Neeeeed it

Dane Fisette

The whole show is about to change after next episode. I hope you watched the after credit scene

Joab Taylor

the after credit scene of next episode is where you'll gather much more excite

Chandler Smith

im a grown ass man and i can't help but cry almost every time in this ep

Suave Player

Goddamn these scenes were a lot to take in, and the whole show keeps going like this that you get nervous and get mixed emotions

Regarding your curiosity on other series that could give you similar quality writing as AOT, they most certainly exist (e.g. Berserk, Tokyo Ghoul, Kingdom), however that is only in reference to their manga. Their anime adaptations all fail to live up to the writing, much to the ire of their respective fanbases lol That's why AOT is such a blessing. When the voice acting, soundtrack, and especially storyboarding and directing, actually live up to the writing quality of the source material, we end up with one of the greatest TV shows ever made Edit: that being said, there are other anime out there that do share that concoction of being a stellar adaptation for a stellar source material, but I feel this isn't the time or place to mention those suggestions; maybe after you wrap up AOT!

It´s amazing watching you react because of your train of thought. I´m glad you´re enjoying this show, which is one of my favourites.

Matthew Earl

This show is so fucking goated

Jon Herrera

I wanted to say that I really appreciate your reactions. I share the same philosophy when watching something of letting the artists do their thing and take me where they want to take me and surprise me, make me sad, make me happy, etc. This episode in particular is one of the very best, but the show overall only gets better from here, as hard as it may be to believe that's possible.

Glube

Best episode of anything, I've been waiting since you've started

Cross

The run from episode 11 to episode 22 in season 3 is the best thing I have ever watched, Masterpiece after Masterpiece. Still haven't watched something on this level since the episodes released.

Tokyo Ghoul is my favorite manga the studio making the anime adaptation should be jailed for how bad they ruined it still can't believe it

Tokyo Ghoul and Vinland Saga are definetly two that are a good watch.

Anthony Lujan

This episode was rated. 10/10 on imdb this episode is close to peak story writing but if your looking for another anime close to this writing and is considered this level watch full metal alchemist brother hood the other anime besides this one that considered perfect all around story wise

Max Power

This show makes me emotional on a different level to anything else - I genuinely think you could re-react to all of this and it actually be better than the initial reaction. Masterpiece, plain and simple. There is more that touches this ofc, but this is one of the peaks 100%

hehe xd

best episode imo

Fax I think the second watch through is better than the first bc it’s so much fun to catch the subtle hints

Dwob

AOT's just about to begin

Madi

Love re watching AOT beside you! I watched the final the other week and deeply enjoyed it, but I just know I’m gonna enjoy it even more after re watching it with you! If your looking for another anime that’s completed and has a fantastic storyline start to finish with good fight scenes, great animation and a bit of political intrigue I’d recommend FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood! Can be goofy at times but I personally never minded it

Thank you for this comment and I hope Jon sees it. Maybe after watching a couple of different animes he will check out these Seinen stories in manga form...

Only the 1st season of Tokyo Ghoul the rest is trash. They ruined the story.

Kristian Hatakka

RIP Moblit! The most loyal character in the series. The shot of him sacrifising himself for Hange hits so hard in the rewatch when you have time to realise his significance for her and how he cared for her. One of the best shots in the series!

Wow, I actually never saw him this way, can't there be a single casualty in this masterpiece of a story that wouldn't hold as much profound meaning and wouldn't afflict us with great deals of pain lmao ?... Damn... I'm actually curious as well : where are the elements pointing to such a relationship between the two, would you mind telling me please ?

If you want to rewatch their scenes, there is a youtube video called "Hange and Moblit friendship". There is also a nice detail that I haven't caught. The last scene is the first time Moblit calls Hange by their first name and not Section commander :,(

Uzi Jacobson

Legendary episode, legendary conclusion to Erwin's story, PEAK FICTION

Andrew Brown

3:48 - 4:04. If you come back to read this comment, re-watch your comment here and realise how fantastic point that was, but also why AoT is an absolute goat show. Don't re-watch this bit if you've not finished the show.

bort

this episode was crazy
