We approaching the endgame now!!!!

Anonymous

Definitely getting to the endgame as you said. There’s a whole bunch of shows you could watch next but would definitely recommend Vinland saga first!

Robbert Vosters

Next episode my fave… gagged me a bit with that one 😵‍💫

Gage Bowen

i vote vinland saga and full metal alchemist next

Jon Herrera

The song you asked about is called K21. It's Kenny's theme from season 3, heard most notably during his and Levi's fight under the chapel. I think it's really cool here that Levi has inherited it from Kenny.

Matthew Earl

I think you would enjoy vinland saga for your next anime, definitely less action and stuff but grounded and mature story

Anonymous

The second season, undoubtedly less action but first season is action packed, great anime and I think JD would like it.

Proximity94

No, you're not supposed to remember Mr. Ksaver though he made cameos twice in S4 by that point. So all good.

hman70

Pausing and closing your eyes as you say the word "baseball" out loud and a handful of puzzle pieces all suddenly click together at once is a top 5 moment in this whole reaction series imo. If you ever do a rewatch it's going to be littered with dozens of little moments like that :)

Good callback to what Pyxis said about a good lie being one with a little truth sprinkled in. Zeke said he dispersed his spinal fluid which paralyzes people before he makes them into a titan, when in reality, they can operate normally without suspicion of being dosed. That small lie was enough to give a false confidence which allowed their plan to work.

Proximity94

There are many more examples of telling half-truths in S4. What Pyxis says is a clever way of Isayama planting the instruction for us on how to read between the lines in the following events.

Kehmind

I feel like Vinland Saga will be right up your alley. Not as action packed but very mature.

Almag

Would also recommend Chainsaw Man! Very over the top stylish show that subverts and plays with tone a lot. Also animated by MAPPA If you need any convincing, watch the original trailer for it!

HussienSenpai

Definitely Vinland Saga as your next show

Muadh Razaque

for some like jon denton who likes depth to his shows and masterful plot and writing, Code Geass is a must watch !

Matthew Valentine

I like how the Eldians way outside of the range of Zekes scream actually did freeze up so he wasn’t lying when he explained it that way. Such good writing man

Riley

vinland saga pls

Robbert Vosters

Terrible animation, boring cheesy storyline. This channel will bleed to death if he does that

Mike Donohue

This episode never fails to break my heart. On that note, HunterxHunter next!!

Daniel Gantner

John, please watch Vinland Saga next!

kingcane

neon genesis evangelion is literally the greatest anime of all time. watch that next. it legitimately influenced almost every single shonen anime after it.

I think you’d love Vinland Saga. Very mature storytelling and philosophical themes, my all time favourite anime

Eoin573

It's more in reference to how we've seen eldians appear sedated and lobotomised (like actual titans) once injected with the serum, The point being, it was brought up so that the paradis folk would be reassured in knowing if they did ingest his spinal fluid. It wouldn't have needed to be mentioned in regards to its onset with zeke's scream as obviously they'd know themselves by then

hunter x hunter

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD you have to watch that next

Matt Dahte

have you watched any studio ghibli stuff? those are all certified anime classics if you liked akira, ghost in the shell movie + the animated series (stand alone complex), the cyberpunk anime on netflix animes that people usually bring up in GOAT conversations; cowboybebop, code geass, full metal alchemist, one piece (ongoing and not finished but a shitton of episodes), neon genesis evangelion (the first series is great, imo the rest is not as great), naruto (imo loses its magic near the end of the series though should be noted that imo, this anime is what started the biggest wave of general acceptance of anime in the west), hunter X hunter (not finished) since you like grappling theres a ton of animes based on martial arts, most famous being grappler baki (not realistic), hajime no ippo and ashita no joe (boxing), and super old but a classic in fist of the north star series (hokuto no ken, super unrealistic) relatedly sports animes are really good too; captain tsubasa (football/soccer), slam dunk (basketball, anime isnt complete even though its finished, but you can watch the recently released movie for the peak of this series, one of my personal GOATs), Major (baseball), prince of tennis, Haikyu!! (volleyball) there are many others i WOULD like to recommend but sadly the anime adaptations pale in comparison to the manga source material; Beserk (though not finished IMO GOAT manga , even over AoT), Hellsing, Vagabond (doesnt even have an anime adaptation), etc. lastly if you have any kids violet evergarden will pull at your heart strings a ton

rayman

man these episodes are just incredible. next ep is also S tier. some of the best episodes in the series are still to come if you can believe that 😬

Velock

I understand that you guys May want Vinland Saga but wouldn’t it be cool if he would Watch an Older anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion? JJK is also new gen i would Love a Little variety i think he would Love the Great Animation Style of an older show. Vinland Saga would be kinda boring right now the Action filled New gen Anime Spot is filled with JJK. So my vote is definitly Neon Genesis Evangelion, there Are so many Great Deep and insightful topics in the Show and Jon excells in this topics. Cheers guys :)

John TQ

Asking for early suggestions for what you might enjoy next ay? As others have said, Vinland Saga is likely the best new anime to watch if you want something of similar writing quality and seriousness. I truly think you can't go wrong with it. Two seasons so far My second suggestion is actually gonna be a bit out there relative to the anime you've watched so far: Haikyuu!! Four seasons so far, with two final films coming up later this year It's a sports volleyball anime. Yes you read that right. But I assure you, 95% of Haikyuu fans were not volleyball enthusiasts, with a significant chunk not even sports anime enthusiasts either. But it's a legendary show that hooked them all for a reason, one that anyone of any age with any preferences can enjoy. The brohood, the camaraderie, the character developments, the thorough respect and knowledge for the sport of volleyball, the masterful animation and directing of the high stakes matches, the fucking soundtrack, it's all worth a check~

Phoenix

You should check out Baccano! Probably not the best anime for views but imo its super underrated

moti

Check out vinland saga

Jay Hewitt

Check out fullmetal alchemist brotherhood English dub is good for this anime as well

Max Power

I see people giving recommendations - Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood would be good for you I think. One of my favourites to this day

jjkolochos

I dont know why people arent mentioning death note but its really good

Suave Player

In this fight, it proves more why Levi is the GOAT, We’re at the crazy home stretch of Part 1
