Two different lighting setups with very different challenges, as well as a big transformations from each of their starting drafts made for a small but uniquely interesting set to draw! I've been sitting on these two for a little bit as I'm preparing for the full recording video series that I've been really wanting to do for. As our Patreon anniversary is coming up again next month, I'm wonder if it's possible to integrate this upcoming series with you guys' inputs as well to make things more interactive... I think it will be a nice change of pace! Please let me know what you think! (Any ideas are welcome too)The process video will be coming online as usual, so no worries about that. And I have another set for you before the month ends too :) So please look forward to them, and thank you so much for your support as always ♥!

Ooh... I didn't realize she had cybernetic hands. Such double life must be tiring. Beautiful pieces.

Hi Guweiz, I really enjoy your work! I wanna ask would it be possible to include "all the reference" that you use in future videos? It would be helpful for us to see how you extract elements from them. Thanks!

I salute you for your work! May I ask which brush you use for coloring? Do you use one of the ones in the Patreon brush pack? If so, how do you work with the opacity value?

Dream Day

How Wonderful lighting skill! I really love how the cold and warm lighting create different moods with the same character!

LUCIDPINX

Really love the pieces, also one question do you do traditional sketching/ keep a sketchbook?

guweiz

Thank you! I don't really draw in a sketchbook anymore, although I probably should...

guweiz

Thank you, it's my favorite thing to do with illustrations!

guweiz

Thank you kindly, I do use the ones in the brush pack! I usually rely on pen pressure for adjusting the strength of the pen (standard brush) and how much "ink/color" it deposits on the canvas. With the soft airbrush and for situations where it's useful to apply colors only very subtly, I use the keyboard hotkeys 0-9 to choose one that fits the situation. Mostly it's 1 or 2 to set it to 10/20%

guweiz

Thank you, that will be a big part of the upcoming real-speed painting videos!

guweiz

It's an experimental design for sure! There's still some balancing to do between making it subtler and vice versa :)

So cool! I have a character who needs to hide her robotic limbs. I feel like they'd get along lol The atmosphere is so good in both pieces! I really learn a lot whenever I see a new piece and later the process.

tomadventures

wait are the hands doll/ mannequin hands?

guweiz

Thank you! I'm sure they will :) Personally my biggest takeaway is that Prosthetic limbs are strange in a way that they really blur the line between reality and fantasy! (both +ve and -ve)

Zwei Zhang

the design of the prosthetic arm is more and more detailed, I wonder if she will use strings in the arm to attack like the monowire in cyberpunk 2077 :)

Thais Barcellos

Look at those hands! Oh my, you truly are an inspiration for art
