hi guweiz was the Day Off set you mentioned in the video the one where they went to the arcade? if so, thats one of my favorite sets <3 this piece did remind me of that set a lot (in terms of the background)

guweiz

Yes!! I'm glad you like it! It's one of my favourites too, it was so exhausting (and satisfying) to draw!!

I'm happy you speak of your struggles. It's so easy to think every piece is done effortlessly and with ease, but SO MUCH goes into a piece and things can and will change overtime. You've taught me a lot about that and it's made me a better artist I think. :) Thank you for your honesty, and showing your processes like this. It's very helpful!

Hi Guweiz, I joined recently & so far really enjoy it here :3 wanted to ask two question, first is whether you use some photobashing technique when painting such complex scenes (especially on the second piece) and if so, where exactly & how ? And second is not exactly related to this Process, but in general can we expect to see more of your real-time painting process ? I really enjoyed watching your recent live painting video and would love to see more (whether it's study or finished piece) , thx for your work, you're my Biggest Inspiration :3

Sometimes I feel like it's all struggles, and that I might be talking too negatively too much, but I'd rather be truthful than just pretend I know everything! I'm very grateful for your kind words, I'm so glad I've been helpful to you on your own journey to becoming the artist you want to be! I'll keep at it as always :)

Thank you for the great questions! Firstly I didn't quite employ photobashing this time except for that 1 signboard that I quickly wanted to get in on the left side (behind the red sign), everything else was hand drawn :) I think it's a very valid technique but of course subject to copyright, and making it look good at the end. I will be recording and doing a event for next month, which has a lot of real-time painting, so please look forward to that!!

Oh no, I don't think you're talking too negatively. I think you have a nice balance between the positive parts and your struggles <3
