Picking up where we left off, our next task is to start applying color to the grayscale draft. For some artists this might signal a transition into the next phase of illustration after that of drafting and sketching. In my case, I like to take this chance (and extra tools in the form of color) to continue drafting and working out the composition.

What bears mentioning from last video: As we draw, not only do we fill in the canvas, but we also "discover" the difference between what we envisioned and what is drawn. As we get more experienced, this gap will decrease over time. But new compositions and elements will always throw a wrench into the works!

And color could be the element that makes the difference in every process - after this part, I'm considering the overall brightness and mood of the piece with more context and perspective, so the next episode should be just as interesting!

As always, feel free to let me know if you've got any questions, and thank you kindly for your support ♥Event Update: I will start reviewing your submissions on Discord starting very soon - I'll do this in batches so it's more manageable for us all :) Hopefully I can give some helpful comments for those who've submitted WIPs, or just their other work! See you there :)
