I don't think that I will ever be fond of Emily as a character... but I appreciate that she got over herself enough to ask for photos of Lorelei and Rory's early life at the end of this episode. Of course she would have preferred for Lorelei to be sent home... but she left that "home" for a reason. She got pregnant as a teen in that "home". She felt ostracized for a reason in that "home". Yes, it would have been nice for Emily if she didn't have a daughter that ran away... but why did Lorelei run away... and why does Rory always come back home? I don't think it's simply a matter of personality.
