People do ship Buck and Eddie so I was not really suprised that Buck is bisexual. Cause him and Eddie have had flirty moments in the past in my opinon. Just an opinon

Yeah, people online have been asking for Buck and Eddie to get together for a couple years. I've watched this whole show before and I will say that this Buck and Tommy thing makes more sense the second time... because I guess I noticed really subtle things that occurred leading up to it. However, I don't know if they were intentional, or if I made them mean more because I knew that this was a storyline. Buck has always kind of treated Eddie differently from any of the other guys that he knows, so I think the hints were there that he was bisexual. It did totally shock me the first time that I watched!

I don't necessarily think the bi Buck storyline is forced/bad writing but rather that the Buck and Tommy storyline is forced. If they wanted to do this storyline, the better way to do it would have been to have him realise that maybe he sees Eddie as more than a friend. When they were helping Maddie move into her apartment and she says "He's so cute!" Buck immediately assumes she's talking about Eddie and says "You should see his son" There's always been a flirty undertone between them "You can have my back any day" "You wanna go for the title?" People have mistaken them for a couple when they're out and about with Christopher, like in the episode where they take him to see Santa. Eddie has repeatedly said "If anything happens to me, you become my son's guardian, I trust you implicitly with my son" To not act on any of that groundwork but instead, introduce a new character for Buck to have this realisation with does make it feel forced and like "Look! Buck's bi now!" whereas if it was Eddie it would have made a little more sense

To me it made sense for Buck to have his realization with someone else esp since it seems pretty obvious that he’s projecting some of his feelings for Eddie onto Tommy. Knowing the sort of open-minded person Buck is, I think it’s much easier for him to realize he is attracted to guys than for him to confront any possible feelings he may harbor for his best friend of many years. Liking guys is one thing, being in love with Eddie is quite another.
