Monthly Poll has concluded, I started up a test animation involving some DC characters, and I got this one I'm gonna quickly get done. I stepped a small amount back into my learning phase and really want to get back into trying some new stuff if I can.

NYL (Yes, THAT NYL)
The screenshot lighting is example lighting and not the actual near completed version I have. I finally decided to take a look at one of NYL's blend files that he created so that he can graciously share his knowledge with the normies. If your an animator I certainly think you should take a look as it is on his Patreon for the highest tier where you can obtain this)
So, what did I learn? The answer is pretty mild although I'm not surprised. I like the insight and mindset it gave me but I knew most of the advice generally. NYL's stuff is amazing of course but I do know alot of stuff I've already learned over time that overlapped with alot of what he was saying. I believe the knowledge he provided is really good tho. I was most excited to look at his lighting setup which did have me trying a few different things. I think it also taught me to rely more on animation basics as the example file he used didn't have many if any tricks or advanced techniques (likely on purpose) but proved that lighting and animation basics can still look amazing.
Failures, but no big deal
I actually for many minutes to an hour considered why even do this animation? Did I like the characters? Position? Could I try something new? I pondered many many characters to use and felt I was forcing myself to create this instead of work on my other project. I thought lets make something quick but then I got an idea and position that excited me so I finally got started. A big point of this was to actually practice cloth physics some more.
I put it on alot of stuff but found that Haydee's butt (The main attraction didn't look so good squished in this position. It looked good from above but not from the main camera angle. So I had to switch to manual bone animation which is super nice in comparison cause of the good rigging already on the model. It's not done but it's already promising. The rest still plan to have cloth physics (Haydee's breasts already have them on.)
Other
I'm doing this in 30 fps rather than the normal 24 because it's been a while since doing so, also it helps it look less jagged when the characters move very fast I feel. I'm staring to remember some old techniques I should go back to using again. Such as noise on bones which I think is a pretty big deal that I've neglected. Chell and Haydee's upper bodies and necks both have noise and that's all aside from the looping motions.
