Hello! The chapter 1 rewrite is here! Truthfully, not so much has changed from the original iteration. I really like how chapter one was originally, so I didn't do much aside from add a new scene and some choices sprinkled in here and there. I ended up tweaking the new scene last minute (aka finished a few minutes ago haha) but it doesn't feel as meaty as I'd like now that I'm rereading it. I feel like we need to spend even more time with the band, but maybe that's just me. Let me know!

 I already feel like there's a few instances in need of more choices, but I haven't been able to think of any at all that feels like an improvement. We will see once Ch. 3 is getting written. I'm definitely a "go back and add things now that I'm writing this" kind of writer, so sometimes I do lack the foresight to know. Ah, well!

I didn't add any of the suggestions from the prologue from Patreons. I want to focus on finishing Chapter 2 before I implement any suggestions from you guys after reading these chapters, hence why I call them alpha chapters.

Truthfully, I'm really trying to finish so I can move on to chapter 3. All the errors and the fixes can be fixed any time, but eventually we're in need of new content to feel revitalized by the story and really feel like we're progressing. Or at least, that's my mindset. I am itching to release a new chapter and finally move on from these first three. I'm sure everyone feels the same lol

Anyway. You know the drill! Errors and typos and any suggestions, I'm all ears! For the rest of the month, I'll be working on the Patreon content. Hope you like the new additions!

You likely have to restart. I advise just skipping/speedrunning the prologue ahahaha you're likely going to have to play it again once chapter 2 and 3 come out!

UPDATE: The game breaking bug 1478 should be fixed now! I quickly tested it and it worked but if it's still posing a problem, pls lmk. Typos and errors are fine in comments but if there are any game breaking bugs that stop you from progressing, would super appreciate it if you sent it through my inbox so I can fix it right away! For some reason, I don't get Patreon notifs on my phone haha but I do get Tumblr notifs. Thank you <3

Just wanted to mention in the prologue I didn't get any lines for Orion's sobriety check-up backstage (idk if that matters but my MC never drinks, did drugs cause peer pressure and it was their first time doing so). It's blank and just goes to choices, no passages for O's actual reaction

Soooo good, as always 💕 I always feel so many emotions when I read Infamous ahhhh!! I don’t know whether this might be something you’d want to add, but I was curious 👀 If you choose to burn the photos, it might make sense to have someone mention it in some way when you’re deciding who to bunk with in the bus?? Like a, ‘Rowan, you know what happened the other day…’ when trying to convince him it may be better for you to bunk with UW than SV… If MC is burning photos over here over some past memories, it may not be good for them to share a ride with SV lol ;)

That little scene with jazzy and the photo album broke my heart and made me immensely happy. Also her little talk about the Mc being her best friend and just letting us know she’s right there if she wants to talk…. I’m weak. That was so sweet I love her so much

The Jazzy scene was so heartfelt and good!! But there may have been a wrong flag when it comes to MC's drinking habits where it automatically assumes that MC changed their drinking habits as a result of the Vote. The flag comes up at the beginning at the party scene. It seems like there's a flag regarding the choice of how the MC drinks more as a way they have changed, but then the standard option still assumes that MC changed their habits.

This update was great! I loved the chance for more Jazzy content. As for a suggestion: When it comes to how MC feels about their parents I'd love an option to be hopeful (read desperate). I like to play my MC as still really wanting affection/approval/what have you from them. Even if part of them knows deep down that it's never gonna happen.

I also found it odd choosing each drinking/party option but O responds saying you don’t even drink or Jazzy assuming you wouldn’t be drinking at her farewell party.

Would it be possible to swap one of Iris's keyboards to a synth, or just add a synth, when choosing the piano solo during the performance if you're in a synthpop band? It does amuse me though, being in a synthpop band and not having a synth. Maybe that's the perfect opportunity for O to join the band 😊

I really liked the updates!! The increase of Jazzy content made me especially feel all warm and fuzzy ♡ I hope we do get to see her and the MC have phonecalls. I liked the slower pace of everything too, I'm very much a slowburn progress fan towards both ship and plot lol Really good work, Amy!! I loved it! Since you asked for suggestions + bug-finds, I kept a tab of notes open on my phone to drift to whenever I noticed something. I noticed no bugs tho, so I guess this is all "Suggestions" instead, I hope that's okay: ● First, I googled about O Quinn to figure out if their surname has one "n" or two, and I found this RO Intro post that still only has O listed as Orion, and I thought you'd appreciate the link to change it eventually to be indicative of Orion/Orionna (No pressure to do it anytime soon lol I'm just trying to be helpful): https://www.google.com/amp/s/infamous-if.tumblr.com/post/707355364673404928/orion-quinn-hehim-35-is-the-reason-why-your/amp ● I'd like for there to be three more options for the type of social media the MC has, if that's possible? (1) That it's currated out of O Quinn's approval. So it has some personality, but it also leans towards the "You simply repost" option as well. Maybe Quinn's %-opinion of the MC decides the activity? Like, if Quinn has a low % opinion, then that could translate to Quinn thinking a lot of MC's post ideas are inappropriate and therefore the MC's account doesn't have a lot of activity. But if Quinn does see the MC as professional and has a high % opinion, then there's a more steady stream? Maybe Quinn helped the MC learn how to queue and schedule posts too? idk how tech-savvy Quinn is that sense. (But that kind of co-opting becomes obvious when the MC posts something on the fly without checking with Quinn? (I'm ngl, as I am describing this I'm thinking of Hozier's account, where fans used to joke "Hi Hozier lol" vs "Hi Hozier's socia media intern lol" depending on if Hozier decides to post something unhinged himself on a whim (eg. "Hurtling skinless into your DMs™️" or the fake-tweet people mistakenly accredit to him (and that Hozier heart'ed the edit of lol) "My girl is mad at me. I hope I die") or if the person in charge of the account posts something professional (eg. "The Unheard EP is out now!")) &&& (2) That the MC's account is mostly candid pictures (with the occasional scripted post, maybe) of the MC with friends, doing their hobby, of the food they're eating at trivia night or something, of playing a game (board game or video game) with the band, some clips of practice or maybe a photo of them in the studio goofing off but announcing a new song is in the works, maybe some of the images are blurry and imperfect. So close to the "random photos and memes" option but leaning more towards sentimental and sappy. Maybe it's only an option to have after a certain Attachment rating to the band or if the Clingy personality toggle is on? Maybe the MC just made their once-personal account "become" their fame account, rather than make a new account to be professional on? And maybe Quinn allows it to be "semi-unprofessional/largely candid" because of a mixture of relatabilty of the MC specifically and because the sweet close-knit implications is good PR for the band? &&& (3) The option for a secret account. We already have the option for a secret account if we are a hater of Soft Violence, and I think it would be understandable if, no matter what type of account you have, there's an option for a secret one under a fake name or something (Tangentially, maybe a "publicly private account"? I'm thinking of how many people know Reneé Rapp has a "secret account" on instagram, @goodtitsbigheart, in addition to her professional one @reneerapp. idk on that one, but I do love Reneé Rapp having two accounts like that, so I thought I'd mention it. But she's open that she is Reneé on both, unlike a properly secret account, so idk if it counts lol). However, I typed all this up and THEN I looked at the code and saw it's all flavor text, instead of a trait toggle lmao So I guess I NOW mostly suggest all this to give people more specifity to their MCs? I'm surprised it's not a trait toggle, but I guess social media posts aren't a big focus of the story? That's fine tho lol ● When looking at Seven's photo at Iris' farewell party (notwithstanding the grammatical error of "and feel... → ...and some bitterness/and nothing else" where the 'bitterness' and 'nothing else' options should have the 'and' taken out), I wished there was some more options. Like a "feel apologetic/heartbreak/regret (for the vote or something)", or "feel that phantom limb tingle again of having lost someone that was a part of you" or "missing someone that you're not sure exists anymore". Maybe even specify the exact bitterness like "bitterness for Seven having left" versus "bitterness for how Seven keeps treating you nowadays"? Maybe even, in addition to the "happy" option, having a "smug" option so that it's a mixture of bitterness and spite and an odd sense of 'victory'? Adjacently to that, maybe in addition to the "nothing (in a positive or neutral or confused way)" option, there could be a numb-kind-of-nothing option? However, once again, I did look at the coding again after typing all of this and realize once again: this is flavor text and not a toggle trait lmao rip, I keep thinking these are all toggle traits, whoops ● I was thinking, for MCs who are nervous about the interview while in line for food with Quinn, could there be an option for being nauseous while looking at the food? I know when I'm nauseous (I have chronic nausea, but still) I tend to look a little green when looking at food because I'm worried putting the wrong thing in my mouth will trigger me into vomiting asap or might upset my stomach into vomiting later. Maybe Quinn notices they look a little sick and suggests the BRAT diet (It traditionally stands for "Bananas, rice, apples, toast". But there's options/various altered versions of what each letter stands for: Bananas/bread, rice/rice milk/ritz crackers, apples/apple sauce/apple juice, and toast/tea. A protein shake can also be helpful. Also water, obviously, especially if its with a pedialyte packet of electrolytes; though the water can only be chill, it can't be too cold in case of thermal-shock further aggrevating any nausea. The BRAT diet isn't perfect, especially in its lack of nutrients, but it is helpful for picking foods on a short-notice that aren't likely to upset a person's stomach from what is likely available at a breakfast buffet. Oatmeal and broth are also good so long as they aren't too hot, in case of thermal-shock again. Salad can be okay, as long as it isn't made with too much acidity as some people toss their salads with vinegar and whatnot; the fruit and salad have to be mild. Ginger is good, sometimes places have Canada Dry ginger ale at buffets) for breakfast so the MC still eats something, which shows O Quinn cares, but is also pragmatic and a being a mother-hen. I think it'd probably be the funniest if the MC hesitates and Quinn just takes advantage of the pause to put food on MC's tray for the MC lmao but I wouldn't be surprised if I am misunderstanding Quinn's character at that. Maybe Seven gets a weird look on their face watching this unfold? idk. Alternatively, maybe the MC picks a granola bar because of said nausea lol ● I was surprised when I selected "Not sure, but I'm not keen on finding out (what will happen if this tension between the MC and Seven keeps persisting)" that Quinn replied "For once, I agree". Like? Quinn likes my MC and they're on the same page often. Maybe if the MC has a bugh enough %, it can be shortened to "I agree" or instead be "Glad we're still in agreement"? idk. Maybe the whole thing can just be "I agree" instead of "For once, I agree"; the implication of Quinn and my MC often being at odds took me out of the story and for a loop there lmao And that's it! Something small but I am surprised that in the interview, they didn't latch/catch on to how MC stayed silent when the band was talking about their parents and what they did to celebrate. Especially with a family episode on the horizon it seems like maybe that would be a good sneak peek into that kind of drama. (Maybe I just want to watch the world burn sorry lol) Also with the jealous choice: I wonder if a particularly dedicated hater/fan would be able to actually pull pictures that show Seven is essentially recreating prior posts/pictures with Avina now rather than with MC :) (Also sad to see Iris teasing MC about hooking up with Dakota got cut lololol)

So I just figured it out: I think when it comes to that choice the flags need to be flipped. I think the true/false answer choice sets were flipped around where if MC is now sober, then the current "false" selections should be open. But if the MC is not newly sober, the current "true" selections should be open. So currently the false/true flags need to be switched and that resolves that issue.

Thank you! I'm glad at least some of it was helpful ♡ I was replaying last night, and if I could suggest one more thing? If the Secret Hate Account for Soft Violence toggle isn't on, maybe the MC could have their secret account also be a bit of a fan-page for Soft Violence if that "open/secret fan of Soft Violence" toggle is on? I think it'd be especially wild if Seven or anyone else in Soft Violence remembered the username as belonging to one of their (a) bigger fans, maybe like Maya in some ways where the MC feels more comfortable being a stereotypical screaming "rabid fan" behind this anonymity, or (b) one of their nicer fans who was respectful yet really pushed against any para-social mindset in Soft Violence's fanbase. That would require we make our own usernames though, I guess, so I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't matter for the story. But the idea of Soft Violence accidentally have affection for [insert username of MC's secret account where they are more openly a fan] as one of their more loyal and vocal fans is funny to me in a tragic way. And then it's just straight up funny if Rowan or somebody knows the account and teases "You post way more on your SV Fan Account than you do for your own band!" or something. I think all of that would be hard to do coding-wise, and I won't be unhappy if you do none of it. I just thought I'd suggest it since we have (a) a hater account option and (b) just discussed the idea of maybe a secret account in general anyway. But I digress. It's simply a suggestion equivalent of spaghetti being thrown on wall: just seeing what sticks and what doesn't, without any emotional attachment to if said suggestion is taken or not lmao Again, love the game, much love to you and yours, great work, I'm having so much fun re-playing ♡

Am I tripping or is MC automatically locked into being a non-drinker? I restarted a bunch of times to see if I did an oopsie, but no matter what choice I picked I still kept getting the non-drinker dialogue/interactions. :(

Another typo, maybe? Or maybe not, but I'm posting it here just in case. The choice in the prologue to set Seven as an ex has an extra ex, so it's ex-ex-boy/girlfriend. IDK if it's supposed to mean that MC and Seven have broken up before or not, but well...posting it here just in case. Also, the L in long is missing here: That life feels like something you've dreamt up, happening so *ong* ago that you can almost convince yourself it never happened.

I had this happen to me too and I mentioned it above. I believe the flags for being a new non-drinker or not are switched. So if your MC chose to change by no longer drinking, you would get the answer choices as though MC was still drinking, and vice versa.
