Jazzy's Announcement [Flashback][Band Tier] (Patreon)

Hello!!! I came back with a quick flashback that I've been working on. I'm going to say this is semi-cannon because I've had two different stories that I imagine working with this particular announcement. I'm tempted to write the other one and let you guys decide what you feel is "more canon" for your character and your band. I think I'll definitely do that since they are supperrr different!

This scene feels like a smaller piece to a bigger puzzle, but I kept it short at 8k words haha I'm always tempted to flesh them out but they'd probably take me weeks to do! one day I'll go back and expand on them out the way I would if this was in the demo but enough talking, enjoy!

As much as I hate the "Seven has a secret kid" theory, it admittedly would add an interesting contrast between Seven and Jazzy. First, you have Jazzy, who's very open and affectionate, has a big, loving family, and a strong partnership with Chris. She loves the band and dreams of being a musician but happily gives that all away to raise her child. The decision to leave the band is also hers, and she leaves on a very positive note. Seven, on the other hand, is almost the complete opposite. They're cold and distant, they come from a broken home, the most important relationship in their life blew up in their face, and them leaving the band was a traumatic experience for everyone involved. And if the theory is true, then that means they left their child to pursue their dream. As a fan, I hope that's not the case, but as a writer, I do love me some narrative foils. Two parents, one who is able to let go of her past and build herself a better future, and one who is fundamentally stuck in the past and ruining their future chasing a childish dream.

I hope it's not a kid lol. My first guess was that their mom was sick and hiding it from them for a while before btob of that she got broke or back with papa seven. Idk them having a secret child that they probably dumped on their mother, knowing that they're not even that excited about being a band anymore, their untreated mental health issues and the whole Mc stuff makes them too deadbeat for me.

god... knowing Jazzy tried to call Seven makes the Patreon Interview question asking Seven if they knew Jazzy was pregnant and getting married messes me UPPP... Jazzy staring at Seven's contact for an hour before deciding to call VS Seven staring at Jazzy's unopened voicemail or Jazzy's missed call notification for god knows how long before deciding to ignore/delete it: FIGHT (😭😭😭)

this is exactly why i originally thought Blake was G's kid until i realized the timing (as i understand it anyway) does NOT work out lol i dont know how id feel if Seven has a kid. i think the heartbreak of my MC would keep me playing, i do love tragedy and angst, along with the uphill struggle yet hard-won catharthsis of a reconnection with not only Seven but to have a relationship with their kid. but i dont know! i think ill be surprised if Seven has a kid lmao maybe the true foil is the MC's parents, who chose their respective jobs (not even in pursuit of fame) over their child. i think Jazzy watching how the MC's parents treated them and how Seven's single mother was forced to be distant influenced Jazzy to be a stay-at-home mom. i think i'll adopt that into my belief system lmao but thank you for commenting about Seven's kid theory. youre right, it'd be wild if Seven and Jazzy paralleled one another like that ♡

I would MUCH prefer if MCs parents were the narrative foils to Jazzy. I know it’s petty but I would actually hate it if Seven ended up having a kid with someone else. And honestly I don’t think Jazzy really needs a narrative foil at all, infamous already has a lot of layers and narrative strength, it just seems kinda unnecessary. It’s just my writer brain having fun lol. The idea of Blake being G’s kid is absolutely WILD though and now I kinda wish it was true lmao!

No idea lmfao. I think it’s because they have this supposedly HUGE secret that would do a lot of harm if it got out, so people took that and ran with it. Another common one is that Lucy is sick, but that doesn’t seem as controversial 🤷‍♂️

My first thought when I saw that Seven had a secret was that they had a hidden child 😭, I think I read too many fanfics on Wattpad lol I think it would make sense if Blake was G's younger sibling or something, like Blake seeing G as a hero growing up and then seeing them completely change after they became famous.
