Hello! :) This was requested and I haven't done an "off-page" scene in a while so it was fun to do that. Tiptoeing around the details of the route is always…interesting haha enjoy :) (if there are errors, lmk!) thank you!

Amy you’re so powerful thank you for this

rala

loved thiss seven defines yearning

moala

ouhh seven and the eternal yearning of a teenage relationship that changed the trajectory of their life

Melissa

"There are things [they] can't talk about when it comes to [their] departure. Things that would make everything worse. Seven lives with it. [They've] accepted [they'll] hold onto that weight forever." ??? Another hint that there's more to the vote/Seven leaving the band that MC is still unaware of??

Jacqueline

"Truthfully, Seven has sworn off love for the foreseeable future." *My MC, standing behind Seven holding flowers and chocolates:* Good luck with that!

Aro

Will we also be getting POV for 7, there are 2 really good scenes I'd love to see their perspective on

Jayla

AHHHH those lines scare/intrigue me so much. WHAT DO YOU MEANNNNN SEVEN 😭

Jonah M.

did not expect to see Seven out here Instigating with Pope and Kieran but I'm here for it! but seriously, they've gotta start wearing big ass shades or something. cause they cannot hide their expression to save their life.

Cam

Love how 7 calls their relationship with MC the best thing that happened to them but still won’t try to fix things with MC yet , their inner struggle is so strong ✊🏽😔

Cam

That said it was nice seeing SV dynamic and seven having friends while still accepting they miss people from the band <3

jade

I swear I’m showing up to Seven’s doorstep with boombox in arms and bouquet and chocolates in hand at the end of this tour…. BABY COME BACK

A sandwich

Sorry to Sev but Cory has hater energy they can only ever aspire to. 🤩 I would kill to be able to play this whole game from her perspective. 😂

Kiki

Seven my beloved

sevy

I honestly wonder if before the vote, the rest of the band tried to get Seven to break up with MC or smth!

Nikky

lyss

i desperately want to study seven under a microscope

lem

seven lawless the pathetic wet cat you areee 🙏🙏🙏

Will Landrum

One day, this thing with Seven and the MC is gonna come to a head. And on that day, I will have a stroke from the sheer fucking energy of it. 😂

Melissa

Why would they have done that though? Iris and Devyn were in a relationship within the band too (and also seem kinda codependent). My guess it's something to do with the band itself: MC & Seven being co-lead singers, one of the auditions they failed, tensions between Seven and the rest of the band (minus MC), etc. But from the way Seven phrased it here, it sounds like something that will hurt MC if they found out.

Runa

Reading that last part makes me wonder how talking with Cory about the talk with seven will turn out for us. Like is Cory going to be an actually a decent human being or will whatever we say be used against us.

Julie

Maybe they wanted to kick MC out first and keep 7? Or make 7 the lead and MC backup. And Sev wouldn't stoop that low but MC was willing to vote which is why 7 is so upset? 🤷🏻‍♀️

weretoad

the bit about how it was supposed to be a clean break for everyone makes me wonder if the band approached Seven about leaving after the fight, since the alternative was probably the band fully breaking up. Then again Seven is the LEAST reliable narrator, so i never know how seriously to take their POVs XD

Melissa

I thought of this after my last comment and was waiting for someone to reply so I'd have an excuse to write it lol: But yeah idk if it makes sense (why 7 instead of MC, if MC's voice/songs are more popular with fans?), but it does make me wonder if the band actually initially wanted Seven as lead singer and MC demoted to backing singer, and spoke to Seven privately about it, but Seven refused? So because the band thought a solo lead singer would be best they did a vote on Seven being demoted instead, and Seven was confident that MC would refuse too like they did? And that's one of the reasons why they're so upset with MC in particular. Amy said a while ago that Seven wouldn't have allowed the band to do to MC what they did to Seven & would have rather left the band. We've always taken this as a hypothetical, but what if it actually happened? In ch4 there's a partial flashback to the vote, and Seven doesn't seem surprised or worried, whilst MC is confused/blindsided. And in ch4, if SV is writing for the band, and MC and the band goes to talk with Seven, they say: "I gave up a lot to let you have the perfect little band you always wanted," ${shis} voice is colder than ever, "I think I've done enough." Looking at it ("gave up" & "let you"), it doesn't just sound like Seven was forced out, but like they sacrificed something for the MC?

D.W

It’s Avina being so deep in the friend zone that’s got me laughing loudly to myself. Babycakes was never an option to Seven lol

Melissa

I can see that too about the band talking to Seven privately and both parties agreeing that it'd be best for Seven to leave the band. Would that be a big secret though? The clean break bit could also just be referring to how Seven left (the band, the friendship, the relationship).

jj

oh i’m losing my mind over this

Melissa

If it's any consolation my theories are almost always wrong lol, so it could actually be something harmless (or something else entirely)

Ellie

yess I LOVED that!!

weretoad

re: post fight discussion being a secret -- true, i guess it depends on the MC. But finding out that their friends went behind their back and persuaded their ex that everyone would be better off if they left the band has the potential to do a lot of damage, so I could see the band not wanting to risk telling MC. I know it would break mine.

Sadie

Amy, how much for Avinas pov of this scene? 😂

Ashleigh

i'm so upset

Somewillwin

I NEED TO SCREAM ABOUT THIS SO MUCH!!!!! WHAT YOU MEAN SEVEN CANT EVEN IMAGINE HERSELF WITH SAVINA BUT STILLS REMEMBERS HOW SHE FELT WHEN PEOPLE SUGGESTED THE SAME WITH NICO IM- I CANTTTTRT I NEED NICO TO KISS HER LIKE NOOOOOOW

Somewillwin

Strangely…. I trust Cory. Like when you are nice with her you see little glimpses??? I trust

Jonah M.

Avina in shambles rn

Jacqueline

Yeah honestly SV are handling this situation better than MC's band. 😂

Min

Whenever I read Avina from 7's POV, they're always too perfect and a little creepy with their constant analyzing 👁️👁️ I'm waiting for the plot twist where it's revealed Avina was some AI bot and this was actually a dystopian sci-fi 😂😂

EvilChani

Same. Cory wants to do her job, and she wants to have a good story, but I think she actually empathizes with all of them. And she seems like a closet Seven + MC shipper.

Night-Triumphantt

The way I Never considered that sev wld also have a scene where they have to talk ab MC w *their* band 🤣 Can’t wait to see how it all gets cut up in the episode 💀💀

Queen Hajinari

In MC’s mind, Avina is still this giant obstacle, in actuality someone needs to make a BOTB compliation video of everytime Seven looks like 🫩 and 😬 when someone stans Savina 😭😭

Alex T.

Okay I am once again OBSESSED with Avina and their reactions-how they’re really good at gauging what people want to hear and pleasing people. “I don’t think Victoria Valentine is like that” and “we trust your judgement Seven” NOTICE HOW THEY AVOID SAYING THEY DONT THINK MC CHEATED, WHILE STILL PACIFYING SEVEN??? Omg. What a character. They are SO SKILLED at this.

Alex T.

Also shoutout to all of Soft Violence for standing behind Seven even though they all believe mc cheated. They are Ride or Die for Seven Lawless and I respect them for that.

Alex T.

You know Iris does say at some point “I think they’re just hurting” irt to Seven, I can’t remember where tho. So there’s still care for Seven in the group but I definitely think they did something that made the band breakup 100x worse

Melissa

I am actually kind of obsessed with Avina too lol, their POVs are fascinating (especially when you contrast the same scene with Seven's & MC's POVs, like the car scene)

Melissa

I think that was said in the prologue at the party, if the MC hangs out with Devyn and Iris. I just had a look to double check, and the conversation goes like this: MC: "Seven's an asshole" Iris:"I don't think so. [They're] just hurt." MC: "That sounds surprisingly forgiving from you," (MC says it jokingly but is genuinely surprised) Iris: "[They were] our friend too." (I'm clearly too obsessed with Seven that I recognise this even though I didn't take this dialogue option lol). Another dialogue option: MC: "I miss [them]…kinda. I think." Iris: "So do we," she admits, her face pained when she looks at the water. "But the Seven we knew isn't who [they are] now. It's not worth thinking about it." And then in ch4, if SV is writing for the band, and MC takes the band with them to speak to Seven: Seven: "You don't know what kind of person I am. You wouldn't know, considering this is the first time you've reached out to me as a group since I left. Because you're *desperate*. Real nice." Iris: "It's not like you made it easy." Seven: "I didn't think it had to be easy for best friends. Whether it was easy or not shouldn't have fucking mattered." Iris: "Funny you say that. Then why was it so *easy* to leave? Considering we were your best friends, too." That definitely makes it sound like Seven left, and the band didn't ask/tell them to leave though (like was theorised above). But it also sounds like everyone in this situation still cares about each other (like you said)...so what could have happened that MC doesn't know about, but also doesn't villanise the band or Seven, or completely eradicate all care for each other? 🤔

Julie

Same brain. The more we read 7's POV the more I think this is it.

weretoad

oooooooooh nice catch! Man, now I'm even more curious as to what it could possibly be. Much to think about.....

olive

Reading this short made me feel like I could bite through concrete. Here are some of my fave parts: “She would say she's had her fill of [MC] but that's not true.” “She doesn't want it from a fan or a Wikipedia page. She wants it from her. Sometimes. Not enough to do anything about it.” “She's known the truth since she left the band: she will always miss [MC]. It's in her DNA. It's a fundamental part of her now.” “She just wants to know if [MC] talks about her. Thinks of her. Anything.” “When it comes to [MC], she wants—needs—to know everything.” Amy, please. I damn near put the entire POV in my comment like oh my god…. Seven… You’re truly a gold medalist in the yearnolympics.

Melissa

I was just catching up on the COG forum thread, and there was a theory on there (https://forum.choiceofgames.com/t/infamous-if-band-wip-chap-3-457k-wrds-released-9-08-2024/140471/9043) that something could be up with the Heavenly Isle audition. MC mentions that the band got quick rejections from other studios, but never heard back from Heavenly Isle. And they said that to August when none of the rest of the band was around, so we couldn't see their reactions. I'm not sure *what* exactly could have happened though, Heavenly Isle gave them a conditional offer, but only if they had one lead singer? The thing I don't get is why that'd be kept solely from MC, unless Heavenly Isle specifically didn't want MC? But then how does the vote end up being only to have MC as the sole lead singer? And how does it fit with what Seven thought in this off-screen scene? Maybe...if the conditional offer was for Seven as the sole lead singer (or maybe it didn't specify who), but Seven refused (because they didn't want to do that to MC/the band only matters to them with MC in it), but that means they all lose out on their dream. And the rest of the band have an issue with Seven because they picked MC over the future of the band, and that's why they wanted a vote to demote Seven? Idk if this makes any sense lol.

Julie

That makes extra sense because it would explain why Blake heard about it. Hence the "rumor"

leivla

Heyy Amy, I have a question, I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but anyway, how would Seven have reacted if MC had stopped singing after the fight?

Runa

But wasn’t the vote before their audition at heavenly isles? I’m not sure if it was said in game or on tumblr but if I remember correctly seven was already background vocal during their audition. I do agree that something about it sounds weird.

Jayla

something is definitely up with Heavenly Isle and how it ties into the band + Seven. At the very least there’s definitely something else going on, the band is acting way too suspicious despite whatever MC you play as. I think there’s two ways that explains why the band is acting as suspiciously as they do, either 1. They did some fuck shit and Seven knows about said fuck shit/they THINK Seven knows. Or 2. Seven is a bigger dick to the band than we think, and did some fucked up shit to them. But then you have Devyn’s weird comment of Seven hating our guts while they all laughed at it. If Seven really fucked them over before, and only them, would Devyn really have made that comment? It feels more likely to me that the band did something that is bad enough that the MC finding out would hurt, but not bad enough to where it couldn’t be forgiven. It’ll probably tie into the band being too close/not having boundaries. I have absolutely no clue what that is though. My problem with the Heavenly Isle theory as it is right now is that the band/seven hiding from the MC that Heavenly Isle accepted them is fucking DIABOLICAL and I don’t know how they could be forgiven without a good reason for why they did what they did. The other way around with Seven being the one accepted kind of makes sense, but it also goes against what we’ve already been told with the MC standing out. Crack theory here that’s off topic but I don’t buy into Seven’s secret being that Blake knows their mom is sick (if she is.) I could buy into Seven not wanting the MC to know out of fear they might throw the competition? Or it might hurt MC’s performance? I just don’t know if Blake would not only hold that over their head, but also tease them with it since what we know of his own relationship with his mother. Also the fact that Blake doesn’t like Seven and views them as egotistical/fake. Aka G Reign in a red bandana. Meanwhile in Blake’s pov if you say that you’re similar, Blake agrees. Interestinggg. This ofc could be irony at play though. You could say that Blake sees Seven as someone that left their band to go to bigger and better things, which could explain why they think what they do of Seven. We’re definitely missing something because all these theories paint so many people as complete cunts. I went off topic but I love the theories surrounding infamous so much I have to talk abt theemmmmm.

Melissa

@Runa that's one thing I couldn't figure out and is potentially an issue with this theory. The game says the audition was "weeks" before the party where everything blew up, and the party was after the vote...but I can't find where it says how long was between the vote and the party, or what came first between the vote or the audition?

Melissa

@Jayla yeah there are definitely holes in the theory and I'm not 100% sure on it. It's just that in this POV Seven seems to imply they know something that would "make everything worse", which to me implies it would hurt MC, but that could be me reading the wrong thing from it. And like you said the band is cagey to a sus degree, which I think is more than just their guilt and conflict avoidance. I also felt like it was intentional that the scene where MC talks about the Heavenly Isle audition, none of the other band characters involved (including Seven or Jazzy) were present. I agree with you though that it needs to balance between not completely villanising either Seven or the band and making them irredeemable, but it does feel like all these characters have kept *something* from the MC? If it was out of a misguided notion of trying to protect them, I'm not sure I would consider that irredeemable (even if it's probably not what they should have done lol). And there are stats tracking MC's who want to go solo or becoming more detached from the band... About Devyn's comment, tbh something seemed off about how they said that, and both Rowan & Iris laughed. I feel like August's discomfort was meant to show that it was slightly off, and not just that they're not super comfortable with the topic as they weren't present when this all went down. The thing is, it does *seem* like Seven "hates" the MC more, because they cared about the MC more. So I can see why they'd think that, but the way they said it was...kinda insensitive lol. But idk if that's meant to show the lack of boundaries/having known each other for so long, so we the players are more sensitive to what the band says. Yeah I only thought the angle of Seven being accepted works for explaining why Seven/the band would keep it from MC (to protect them/spare their feelings). But it doesn't make sense with the other things we know about how MC was apparently more popular with fans and their songs did better. But would execs see something different in Seven? So far I believe the Seven's mum is sick theory, but I do think it's weird for Blake to tease/taunt Seven over it. Although you do overhear them say something like "is it that serious", implying they didn't think it was before, but I still feel like Blake is not meant to be that kind of dick lol. But it def could be a red herring with all the other clues: MC's mum saying MC should call Lucy, Jazzy saying Lucy seemed different, Lucy having to convince Seven to go on the show, Avina mentioning that Seven is going through a lot, Seven asking Blake not to write about "her", etc. Is it meant to be the half-sister theory instead? it's funny because I saw Blake as a parallel to Seven, and G as a parallel to MC. Blake seems like G's Seven. But Seven is a very different person, things are more fresh for them, and their hurt feelings are a lot more obvious.

Runa

@Melissa “It was shortly before the fateful party, now that you think about it. Everything was happening at once. No wonder Seven acted the way ${sevenhe} did. Tensions were high, everyone was on edge waiting for a response from your literal dream label.” “You think back to the party, how half your mind was split on Seven and the audition.” “You've auditioned weeks ago.” “Will ${sevenhe} be alright? Will it be okay to be signed to a dream label while ${sevenhe}'s backup?[/i] “ “Maybe if the audition didn't take so much focus, you would've noticed the way Seven was already pulling away.” Those are snippets from the talk with august in chapter4. There mc says the audition was weeks before the party and Seven was already a background vocal during the audition.

Melissa

@Runa So I read the scene again, but it never actually says that the vote happened before the audition or that Seven was backing vocals during the audition. It's possible it says that somewhere else in the game, or on Tumblr or Patreon though. '"And like with every audition before that one, nothing came out of it. They ghosted us." You frown. "We were pretty bummed. Especially me and," you clear your throat, "Seven. We were really gunning for it."' - to me, this doesn't sound like what Seven's attitude would have been after the vote, they still sound invested in the future of the band & their place in it 'You've auditioned weeks ago. While the music industry is notoriously slow, your experience with rejections has been infuriatingly quick' - just quoting the party flashback, where the MC says the audition was weeks before the party 'Will ${sevenhe} be alright? Will it be okay to be signed to a dream label while ${sevenhe}'s backup?' - so this is a part you highlighted, but it's not clear on the timeline. Couldn't this also mean the vote happened *after* the auditon & Seven didn't audition as backup, but became backup afterwards? Which makes more sense for MC to wonder if they'll be ok with being signed to Heavenly Isle as backing vocals than if they auditioned that way.

Alex T.

@Melissa do you have a tumblr or discord or something fr i want to hear your thoughts on EVERYTHING

Runa

@Melissa The thing about “gunning for it” could also be Seven pretending to be excited. We know Sev is very transparent with their feelings but even if they were badly pretending Mc says they were too focused on the audition to notice how Sev was distancing themselves so it wouldn’t be too hard to imagine them not noticing sev was just pretending to be excited. Or maybe seven was actually still somewhat excited, being signed with heavenly isles was still their dream for years after all. Or maybe mc was just imagining things, believing seven was still excited because mc didn’t notice sev’s feelings had shifted at some point (though I think that’s improbable). I just mentioned the audition being weeks before the party to put those two events on the timeline too and show again how close together it all happened. To the ‘signed as backup’ part, I think it makes sense either way. Idk how the music industry exactly works but i imagine being signed as a backup kind of would make it an ‘official’ thing. Just auditioning as a backup leaves the possibility to still change it back, but once they’d be signed that way sev would be stuck in that position. Also I’d think if they auditioned as two lead singers then they’d also be signed that way? So if mc says they’d be signed with sev as backup I’d think they audition with sev as backup too. And I’d also think the band would want to audition to heavenly isles with the “best” version of the band which in their opinion, as was made pretty clear at multiple points, would be with mc as the sole lead singer However you’re right that it’s worded vague and while I could swear the timeline was confirmed somewhere I really cannot find it so I guess it’s gonna have to remain uncertain for now.

Melissa

@Alex T. Haha sure, my tumblr is @captainbobcat (I don't actually create posts on there though, I just comment on stuff & reblog posts, but I don't mind if you want to DM me there) & my discord is bob.cat (idk if I'm sharing this correctly because I've never actually shared it before lol).

Melissa

@Runa Whilst I can believe Seven trying to hide how hurt they are by everything whilst MC is too busy/distracted to notice, idk if they can fake excitement like that? Especially to the point where MC thinks of Seven wanting it as much as them & more than the rest of the band. I also have no clue how the music industry works lol. I guess I'm thinking about how One Direction were formed on X Factor, where all the boys originally auditioned as solo singers, but they weren't strong enough individually to progress that way, so the show formed a boyband with them all instead, after seeing them audition. So I was wondering if Heavenly Isle heard the band's demo tape, thought they had potential, but wanted to make some adjustments? Idk if this is getting too convoluted though lol. I definitely feel like I'm missing some pieces of this mystery or have placed some pieces in the wrong order 🤔. (Edit: actually I think there's a flashback to an audition the band did with Orion, and the execs seemed more interested in MC than the band as a whole? So if MC was interested, would they have been willing to sign them as a solo artist, even though they auditioned with a band?) And yeah I definitely think it's possible the vote happened before the audition, I just don't think we have a clear timeline yet to say for sure either way. Although in that case, it could be a prospective audition with Heavenly Isle being the push for the band to make that type of cold "business decision" that doesn't seem to come naturally to them? But I don't think that alone would explain Seven's thoughts here. I wonder though if this could tie-in with the show. Because at the party after the botb audition, the other bands were saying how it's rare for MC's band to be formed organically in school/as friends, and most (all?) of the others were put together/manufactured. Same for G, I wonder if Viktor has had a hand in how they should look/market/sing (like how there's talk of Misfit Alley "selling out"). So it's an indicator of how Heavenly Isle operates? But idk, maybe it's an unrelated point.

Jayla

@Melissa My thing with the sick relative being what Blake is holding over Seven confuses me a little because It would obviously turn the audience in favor of Seven if he revealed it, which it seems he plans to do. It would also add even more drama around Soft Violence which in turn would keep them on the show longer. But if it’s something like that, why reveal it in the first place and risk your place? (Unless Blake doesn’t want to win at all, which is a whole other thing.) Maybe to make himself appear even more as the villain of the show, keeping him on longer? Idk imo it seems like Seven absolutely doesn’t want *MC* to know about it. Enough to basically be in debt to Blake and nearly have an anxiety attack when Blake teases them abt it in front of MC. How would they know MC doesn’t know to begin with when MC’s own parents probably know? I also kinddd of remember being able to ask about Lucy to Seven and Seven being weird about it but quickly recovering from it? Which, if that was the secret, wouldn’t they have more of a reaction to MC themselves directly asking Seven? Then there’s Avina which mentions Lucy with no problem or a single glance to MC. Though I wouldn’t be unhappy or anything if it was, and I could 100% be reading too hard into it. I believe Lucy is sick/something is going on with her, or there’s something there on top of that. I’m just more leaning to either Seven themselves telling MC or MC’s parents telling them. I love your theories btw!!

Melissa

@Jayla yeah I'm definitely unsure about it, mainly because it feels a bit too villainous for Blake to taunt Seven over. But I actually didn't get the impression that Blake was intending on revealing it (unless I've forgotten some stuff). It felt more like, whatever the secret was, they were taunting Seven/holding it over their head? But if they do reveal it, I figure they'd only do it if it would benefit them or serve their goal in some way, like as a distraction or like you said playing up their reality show villain persona (if that's the way they're going), in order to keep themselves on the show. Tbh I still find Blake's inclusion on the show odd in the first place...why would Viktor White, G's manager, want to include someone who could reveal/cause scandal for G & keeps instigating drama with them? Just for ratings? And does Blake want to win, do they want to go on another tour with G? Lol. I think it was mentioned in one of the forum theories, but the game implies that UW are already too big/successful for the show. So maybe Blake is just using it as a vehicle to out G for whatever grievance they have against them. Although idk why their bandmates would care. Sorry that was a massive tangent...lol. Back to the rumour about Seven, in the kitchen of the bar, if UW is writing for SV, Seven specifically asks Blake not to write about "her" (which I assume is a reference to the rumour). This makes it seem most likely it's about their mum or the theorised half-sister (the girl on their phone screen?). I think Seven has some kind of reaction basically every time that MC mentions Lucy, maybe it's not always super dramatic but they do seem to try to suppress their reactions around MC. It could be a red herring though I suppose, because it's been hinted at a lot. "How would they know MC doesn't know to begin with when MC's own parents probably know?" - honestly I can't tell if MC's mum *does* know specifics ("Lucy is ill"), or if she just felt a vibe, or even Lucy mentioned missing MC/wanting to talk to them. I just think that if the secret is that Lucy is ill and MC knew, it would be obvious to Seven. It'd come up in conversation with Seven, MC might bring it up/ask about Lucy, or talk to Lucy directly (who would tell Seven). In ch4 Avina mentions something about how Seven's "going through a lot", which I think is either related to their mum or the half-sister theory (or both! lol).

D.W

Not quite related to this but would love a POV of the romantic interests seeing the MC in their bathing suit choice for the beach segment. My MC is a hot girl and I just gotta know what everyone is thinking 😩

Melissa

Ok but same!! I also realised that we never saw Seven's reaction to the slutty swimsuit 😔

Love Ya

LOL I was disappointed when they had no reaction too! I can't speak on the other love interests but I was glad when August had something to say their reaction was really cute haha

Pixeldrich

Where is the best place to send bug reports? 😇

This whole thread has me going insane. I think sm differently now wtfffff
