Hello! These POVs were requested. I'm quite surprised by the scenes that are being requested. Not sure what it is about Chapter 4 but I'm getting requests for even the smallest scenes! lolol

They seem so insignificant to me so it's always funny to me to get a request for a scene that has a total of two choices and four paragraphs lolol hence why I put these together since they're not long at all.

A bigger POV is coming soon. I want to thank everyone for the patience. My family came and surprised me this week so I've been away from my computer. Back in the swing of things!

Anyway, here you go! These are super short scenes but hopefully they add something new to your Infamous read haha

I think there should be input for O gender, because there sentences like this in Rowans pov "immediately. would be proud. Not." (Who would be proud?)

Queen Hajinari

“ Seven can hardly function without Avina. Was it wrong to allow him to take over the reins on this one?” Avina try not to infantilize seven challenge: SUPER HARD MODE. On another note, Infamous is a masterclass in writing flawed characters. Avina is so convinced that Seven needs someone to guard them and that they HAVE to be that person. Avina doesn't realize (or more so chooses to deny) how coddling it comes off, Making It seem they think Seven is fragile or emotionally incompetent. Alongside that with Rowan, He feels passive (like the band tends to) when it comes to the well being of MC. Not even directly stopping them, Just placating them and watching even if drinking is out of character. The MC is far more sacrificial even when they aren't attached to the band, then anyone else (aside from O) is for them which is telling since they supposedly know MC the best. Again, a masterclass in writing flawed characters

EvilChani

Never liked Avina and always felt they would be a problem for any MC that wants to be with Seven. Still feel that way, but now they also creep me the fuck out. They flat out dehumanize Seven and it's weird--you don't own 7, Avina. Get over yourself. Rowan.... I don't know. I haven't been fond of the band, but I almost feel sorry for Rowan, at this point. Like QH said, he feels passive with the MC, willing to watch them self-destruct without talking to them about it. It fits, though, considering the cloud of Seven can still be hanging over the band's head and they go out of their way to avoid discussing it and the MC just lives in the dark, not knowing what's going on. I don't think these people know each other at all, anymore. They got older and all try to pretend who they were in their teens. Meanwhile, Avina thinks they know Seven better than anyone and have the right to control them like they're a small child and Avina is a parent (that wants to bang them, I think), while not knowing Seven's thoughts at all. All these bloody people are toxic! I can't wait for my MCs to crash and burn from it all.

EvilChani

It seriously squicked me out reading Avina's POV. I always thought Amy wanted us to see them as great for Seven, extremely caring, blah blah blah, and basically a better version of the MC (which is what 7 seems to often think, and how Avina seems to see themselves). But after that? Nope. That was all kinds of screwed up. Seven needs to gtf away from Avina... pronto.

D.W

Avina, imma hold your hand with two wet wipes when I say this: It will be a cold day in hell before you can do a damn thing about the MC’s effect on Seven. You ain’t god or their therapist, calm it down lol also, I clicked the “didn’t go to triple’ s party” but still appeared there. fyi

Quill

avina when i get you

Quill

typically i'm not one to jump on the avina hate train but uhhhhhh choo choo LMFAO

Ayyy lmao

i love seeing the pov of watching mc start to self-destruct. straight edge to alcoholic pipeline is shaping up nicely

tori 💗

the haters cooked ☹️☹️☹️ i absolutely hate to say it

A sandwich

Wow I made it four paragraphs into Avina's POV before my mouth dropped open in shock. New record! "Seven can hardly function without Avina." You can't SAY STUFF LIKE THAT omg

Zaelan

LETS GO!! I just got off of work and this was the first notification I saw

Cam

“Avina has helped Seven move on since the day they met” 😦 Avina baby I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this ………

eve

amy you write such wonderful and interesting characters i don’t think it’s even about what they think about mc’s choices anymore but just!! we wanna know what’s in their head at all times!!!! very excited read

Vanessa Mesquita

God when Sev and my Mc get back together Avina will flatline 🤭

dede

"The impression they got was that Ana is someone who puts business over anything else. Someone who is talented but cutthroat. At least, that's what Avina thinks. Anyone who is okay with letting go of their girlfriend for their career has to be a little bit heartless, right?" this is such a misinterpretation that i'm convinced we are like two povs away from discovering seven also told soft violence we tossed them out on the street with only the clothes on their back and abandoned their hamster on a highway 😭

Svetlana Morgun

after all of their POVs to date, i'm actually really looking forward to possible Avina's POVs when 7's romance starts heating up ^^. don't get me wrong, the romance itself is something that i'm dying to read, but i'm quite curious to see Avina's thoughts in such situation. what will it be: denial, horrified realization, maybe some despair? >< ^^ well, i certainly expect more delusions from them ^^

Parson

Avina is so full of themselves “seven can’t function without me 🤪” 🙄

Melissa

It's interesting how MC has been built up in SV's minds as the villain in Seven's story, but they don't really know MC and I think they're missing even more pieces of the story than we are as the audience (like if MC voted to keep Seven as co-lead). I wonder what they'll think when more of the story comes to light? Also Avina's POVs actually make me more interested in their character lol, the way they think is so messed up at times 😭. I do think Seven contributes just as much to the dysfunction in Savina though.

Cam

All in all I feel really bad for Avina, imagine being so devoted to your friendship with someone and that person who you view as your best friend is not in the same page as you. And it might be an unpopular opinion but Avina is not a bad friend and I find their attitude towards MC very reasonable?? Because Avina was there for the fallout, Avina knows what 7 went through after the breakup, and irl if the person who broke my best friends heart wanted to get close to them again I would 100% do everything I can to keep them apart and hate them too. The problem to me is that Avina appears or claims to be “neutral” but they do or say things that are the opposite or assume stuff about 7 and MC in a black or white matter. Like I feel there’s no middle ground for them, “this person hurt you ? Cut them out of your life easy peasy” but it’s not that simple. (And also thats also a very 7 trait ??? and it makes sense again the whole Avina is the 7 to 7. But maybe 7 is starting to understand that things are not as simple as they wanted or believed ) To wrap it up 7 and Avina need to talk it out if their friendship is going to survive.

Melissa

"which is what 7 seems to often think" - that's surprising because I got the opposite impression. Like in Seven's ch3 car POV, Avina basically becomes a 3rd wheel because Seven is fully focused on MC. Seven literally wishes Avina wasn't present in the SV van, forgetting to wish MC wasn't present instead lol. I think a lot of it is that 7 is trying to delude themselves and manifest getting over MC (so they won't hurt so much anymore), therefore trying to build up Avina as being a better best friend in their mind. But that doesn't mean it's what's actually happening. In the last off-screen scene 7 says dating MC was the best time of their life :(

weretoad

Avina did not survive the parentification trenches unscathed and it shows. Very curious to see how their character develops as the story goes on!

sena

does avina know seven is their name and not their age What he hell are you talking about seven can't function without me 😭 BE NORMAL!!!!!

Queen Hajinari

@Melissa Agreed. Seven constantly shows disdain for how much Avina seemingly tries to parent or fix them. In most POV’s Seven is saying they care about Avina but wish Avina would stop trying to read them or solve their problems when they didn't ask. Sev clearly misses the person they were before everything imploded, their constantly written to be self loathing because of it

Cam

THEIR NAME AND NOT THEIR AGE GOT ME DEAD 💀 🤣 pls someone ask that in the Q&A 🫣

goose

“Seven has never cared about…well anything” I have never read anything so wrong ever in my life

rala

my mc may hate avina and is plotting to get them out of seven's life but i find them so fascinating,, the "seven can hardly function without them line" is grating but i can see WHY they think that since seven undeniably used avina as a crutch for years to unhealthy cope with the loss of MC + i think avina likes feeling needed. but its so funny to read their povs now with how seven is switching up on them and they seem so unaware like geez 😭😭😭

rala

i agree, MC literally mentions how seven has this constant ability to be the victim in all scenarios and how everyone views them as a kicked puppy ajdhhf it's very fair for avina to hate MC with the perspective seven gives them and i do honestly hope we can call out seven for that

Min

Oh Avina, honey... No. Just… No 😭

Amos

Oh goodness- Avina is such a interesting pov. Like I could definitely understand being protective of a friend especially after knowing their ex has done them dirty. Tho there’s a limit- thinking “seven hardly functions without me” is WILD. Like girlllll… do u hear yourself ???

Amos

Thanks Amy btw !! I get so hype whenever new content drops 🖤

weretoad

yeah! I think in one of their earlier POVs it mentions that Avina had to be the caretaker for their siblings growing up, and I think that parentification kinda warped how they relate to people and how they see their role in relationships, like, they seem to think that they need to be in that caretaker role or else they're a bad friend. And like, buddy, no, please value yourself higher than that.

D.W

Avina feels like a Seven fan that caught a lucky break getting into their life and is deathly afraid of MC taking Seven back . They have an image of Seven they expect them to stick to and a need for MC to be a villain . As far my MC is concerned, I didn’t vote them out the band, I loved them since middle school(platonically then romantically) and the break up was horrendous. (And I think I read that before we officially break up, Seven started kissing/flirting with other people, correct me if I’m wrong or it was after the break up) either way, MC ain’t move on easy and Avina doesn’t know them to judge😒.

Lemon

Seven only hooked up with people after they had officially broken up with MC

Jonah M.

For a POV, this is probably the most normal that Avina's been about Seven in a while

Will Landrum

Seriously. That was such a "You don't actually know her" moment.

Cynthia

Avina is such an interesting character to me because for how much they fret over and coddle Seven and their feelings, they're not altogether that kind to Seven in their internal dialogue.

koma

The drinking options are about you drank before the party, not if you will/won't drink during it.

Will Landrum

I mean, it says "Do you drink alcohol" and you can choose "No. I just don't drink it."

Lemon

This is establishs mc's past behavior with alcohol. If Mc goes to the party they are required to drink. The sober option of this scene is staying in the hotel room and working on the song.

Will Landrum

I don't recall being Required to drink, but whatever. I really don't give a shit one way or the other

rala

yess like they genuinely deserve better than having to play as a parent to someone who doesn't even want it anymore 😭 seven definitely enabled this behavior from them with how much they unhealthily relied on avina after the band break up.

Ashleigh

"Only Avina and the band know that Seven is going through a lot more than it seems. It feels like an odd kind of victory, having this over [MC]. Avina doesn't mean to see it that way but they can't help themself." Hey so this is actually awful?😭 Imagine going through a rough time and your friend is secretly pleased they know about it because it means they know more than your ex/old bff😬

Jonah M.

Triple explicitly tells you before you choose that if you're going to his party you're going to be drinking!

Will Landrum

And? As I recall you still have the option not too. I find it interesting that y'all are obsessed with the drinking part of the comment.

Danielle

Avina is such an interesting character. I don’t necessarily like them but I do want to study them like a bug under a microscope 😭 To an extent, I do feel (kind of) sorry for them because it’s so clear how insecure they are about the MC’s effect on Seven. I think deep down, they know the MC can eventually get Seven back if they really tried for it. It’s going to be so interesting to see the fallout of when MC and Seven really do get back together. (Though, based on some of the bonus content, I imagine MC and Seven are going to try to keep their reconciliation a secret until Battle of the Bands is over….both for privacy and to avoid drama. I don’t imagine MC’s band will be thrilled to find out MC got back with Seven either considering how much they don’t want to talk about them) I also appreciated the Rowan POV here. I’ve never been a hater of the band like some people but they admittedly did get on my nerves this chapter (minus August of course), so it was nice to see some genuine concern towards MC as a friend. Though tbh Iris and Devyn are more on my shit list than Rowan is personally

lu

Avina is so unhinged about Seven I love it 😭😭 some MCs are about to ruin their life and crush their vision of Seven fr.

Kiki

Avina lowkey treats Seven like a dog/child .-.

willow143

jfc Avina's level of delusion should be studied

willow143

honestly with how petty Avina is in some of these responses I'm excited for the actual romance with Seven to really kick into gear like watch how quick your "bestie" gets snapped up

dede

i think this is PARTIALLY right because seven seems quite apathetic about most things in the story currently but that's more a symptom of them being kinda depressed rather than a personality trait 🥲 only avina doesn't really know that because they didn't know seven before

willow143

literally 🙄 but oh no, there's definitely no one better for Seven than Avina!

willow143

don't forget kicking their grandma, that was included for sure

Bessie Burnet

Right?! I don't blame Avina at all! even without voting Seven out, MC and the band really screwed Seven over and it hurt them terribly. Avina has every right not to see us favorably.

Bessie Burnet

In fairness, that is minda what MC and the band did

willow143

oh I'M SORRY??? I hadn't even tried the option where you can say Seven hates you regardless, which opens up more options... Avina I swear to god my messy MC is one more bad interaction away from swinging 💀she might not know what you're thinking BUT I SURE DO

Bessie Burnet

Everyone piling on Avina, well, after the way the band treated and iscarded Seven, and still continue to treat Seven, can you really blame them? The band sucks in how they've treated Seven this whole time and i don't blame Seven's new friends for not looking upon us favourably.

willow143

there's a difference between looking at the band unfavourably and being possessive and weird about your friend/their relationship with an ex/ex-bff which is what most of the comments are referring to

dede

Don't get me wrong the band absolutely sucked if you ask me too, and MC too is at fault for not standing up for Seven, but saying they were okay with Seven leaving because they cared more about success is still a BIG oversimplification of what happened, Seven definitely didn't tell them the whole truth imho.

Ashleigh

To be honest, I can see it from all angles. If I was Avina and heard Seven's side of the story, I'd probably not like MC either - what the band did was shitty and I don't think SV know about the MCs that voted to keep Seven in, they just think they were a part of it. The band did a shitty thing so I can't fault Avina for their thoughts on that. The issue is more them NEEDING to know what MC and Seven talk about and all about their dynamic etc. when it has nothing to do with them. And being kind of vindicated that they know things about Seven that MC doesn't because they're not in their life anymore. Its just really not a good look😭

dede

actually let me amend that. I think seven also believes the version they told is the whole truth 😭

moala

it's so interesting to see how insecure Avina is about 7 yet simultaneously thinks about 7 like a child/dog. i actually find it pretty easy to understand how they can think this way—imagine being so dependent on YOUR best friend when you're not THEIR best friend, and it feels like you're always going to be second place. naturally, you'd mentally try to find any areas where you're "better" than the ex/ex-bff. and as mentioned, 7 would win the self-victimising olympics, which just fuels Avina's protectiveness. so i don't really hate them as much as others. i just feel bad that Avina is definitely not on the same page as 7. Avina would be crushed if they read 7's POVs 😖

moala

also just because I can't let this go unsaid—"Seven has never cared about... well anything." WHATTTTTTT 🗣🗣🗣⁉️⁉️⁉️

moala

i genuinely laughed out loud when i read that. seven has literally never won the idgaf wars in their LIFE

Cam

Yeah I mean I do get why everyone is upset because they do tend to be a bit obsessive in a “I’m right I know what’s best for everyone” way and yeah they do treat 7 like a helpless kid… but that is also how 7 kinda portrays themselves to SV so until 7 TALKS to them a real honest talk things will be the same if not worse. I feel like 7 and MC are like opposite mirrors that way, they both need to talk to their bands but while 7s band would love for seven to talk openly with them MCs band is scared to talk openly.

bea

I love seeing mc from the band pov especially when they are being a mess lol go girl (gn) worry all your friends!!!

bea

I think it's easy to hate Avina but it's also Seven's fault their relationship is unhealthy. Seven wanted to recreate the bond they had with mc to "move on" but they took no time to heal and did it in a very inorganic way. Yes, Avina enables 7 in a way but that is what they wanted, or at least what they thought they wanted. It's kind of sad to see how much they are not in the same page at all but neither says anything, it's seeing the same mistakes happening all over again

Alex T.

It’s interesting too because they mention that they rely on SV to feel “steady”, Seven especially. Which kinda tells me that they probably would be codependent with Pope and Kieran but they set up healthy boundaries. Whereas Seven enabled the worst of Avina’s tendencies

Alex T.

EXACTLY!! The parentification trenches absolutely did a number on them and how they interact with the world around them!!

Alex T.

I think the biggest takeaway I got from Rowan’s POV is that keeping the peace is not the same as keeping the band together. Like, they’re all so afraid that by saying something, it’ll create rifts and break the band; without realizing those rifts would be there whether they talk about them or not. And talking about them is the only way to *fix* those rifts. It’s hard to know why the entire band is like that. We have MC with extreme parental neglect issues, but what’s the deal with everyone else? Tbh I’m excited to find out. I just love how all of these characters are so messed up.

Dani

Avina is SO sure they're the new / better MC in 7's life....I can't wait until MC can choose to read them for filth like I just know that conversation will be soooo petty and messy. I would be interested to know though, when it came to 7 and Avina becoming 'besties', what came first - 7's codependency or Avina's desire to save them? Like what was the match that started this flame?

Melissa

"keeping the peace is not the same as keeping the band together" - I feel like that really sums them up lol. My guess is that the others don't necessarily have something like MC's parental issues, it's just a side effect of being close friends with the same people since you were 14. Most people aren't good at communicating about their feelings at that age, and are more worried about saying something that will lose them friends. I feel like that mentality has carried over into adulthood for the whole band, because they've stuck together and haven't branched out making new close friends as adults. And the incident with Seven has perhaps made them double down on it. Tbh my own school friendship group that carried over until my mid 20s was the exact same way lol. Nobody discussed anything, and there were 2 big friendship breakups partly because of it (although one made up eventually).

Melissa

@weretoad Yeah the parentification is real with Avina... And idk if this is intended or I'm just projecting as a South Asian person lol, but I also think this is compounded by Avina being from a South Asian family, where as a communal culture it's expected that you'd sacrifice personal wants for the sake of your family. The only thing is that gender affects this quite a bit too (eldest daughters vs eldest sons), so I'm not sure how Avina's specific experience would be as a non-binary character. Maybe they only came out as nb as an adult, and therefore their childhood upbringing was more gendered?

Melissa

@Alex T. "Whereas Seven enabled the worst of Avina's tendencies" 💯 I feel like they both enable each other, equally responsible for the dysfunction in their friendship

Melissa

I also feel bad for Avina at times, because it comes across like Seven is using them as a crutch after the band breakup, instead of as a mutual give and take friendship. In terms of Avina being a good or bad friend though I think that's more mixed. It doesn't bother me if they hate MC (although it seems like they don't know exactly what happened), but I do think they coddle Seven too much. Sometimes Seven needs space, but Avina is smothering them because of their own (somewhat selfish) desire to be closer friends and knows what's going on in Seven's head. They can't force Seven to open up about things they're not ready to talk about yet. @weretoad just reminded me of this, I think it's come up before as well, but Avina definitely has the vibe of parentified eldest sibling. Especially because they're South Asian too, which I'm sure plays a factor. But I do think Seven is equally responsible for this dynamic...after being so hurt by the band they've sought out someone who they feel won't hurt them & will always validate them. But it doesn't feel like they're as invested in the friendship, they're not putting in as much as Avina does. Honestly sometimes they don't seem like a good friend to Avina, although I'm sure we're seeing Savina in their worst moments since it's usually when MC is present or when Seven is thinking about MC. Basically I think they could both be better friends to each other, but they need to understand each other better and talk honestly with each other. If Seven wants a real friendship then they'll have to be more open (even if they risk being hurt), whilst Avina has to realise that Seven isn't just someone to be "fixed", and they're not Seven's parent.

Melissa

"seven undeniably used avina as a crutch for years to unhealthy cope with the loss of MC + i think avina likes feeling needed." - perfect summary of Savina! I actually just mentioned Seven using Avina as a crutch in another comment, but it has to be paired with Avina liking *being* the crutch...except this isn't how a healthy friendship should work and you can see the cracks start to show.

A sandwich

I think many readers don't like Avina not because of how they treat MC or the band, but because of how they treat Seven and use the band as justification. For me, I totally get why Avina would dislike MC and feel wary about Seven interacting with them. What I DON'T like is how Avina has added "Seven NEEDS me, they can't function without me, they don't know what they need, only i do," etc. that is the source of their toxicity. Not their loyalty, but their neediness.

keturah lewis

Avina please 🙄 Seven is going to be my mc baby again and you have no idea how close to that becoming real. 🤣🤭🤭🤭

Ellie

well it's not our fault you made all these characters super interesting and then put them in sticky situations!!!! geez

Ellie

(i just want to peek inside all of their heads)

Ellie

honestly searching through this thing for genuinely healthy relationships is the real Challenge (no Advantage). and i love that for us

Ellie

reading avina's POV on stuff feels like a really patronizing but accurate take on when your friend just keeps going back to their toxic ex, and all you ever hear is how miserable they are, how awful that person is to them, how they ruin their life, and then you have to watch them doing it over and over. like, yes, avina does sound like they would prefer to collar seven but ALSO they have some very valid concerns!!! it makes me really sad for them knowing how disconnected they and seven really are. they use each other and call it love.

Ellie

well we've all got a little asshole in us!

Love Ya

Like another comment mentioned I'm really looking forward to Avina's POV when your romantic relationship with Seven starts making ripples. Not even in a jealous that's MY bff kind of way (which is also fun) but the way they'll see things due to their perception of Seven/MC and the dynamic they have with Seven.

gratis

It is so hard not to feel bad for Avina. All these little instances of ‘I know Seven better than you’ and the only benchmark they have to go on is the shell of a person that Seven became after losing MC. Like, damn, you actually have NO idea who this person is, and they’re so traumatised from their last best friendship/relationship that they’ll probably never let you learn, either. This is next level second hand embarrassment like it’s so hard to stomach if I were them I honestly don’t think I’d ever recover.

gratis

which is to say, ofc, I fucking love ittttttt oh my godddddddd

Lina

"Seven can hardly function without Avina." that one rubbed me the WRONG way. damn not a single healthy relationship out here
