Zak Starkey, son of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, was the drummer on this album. Interesting drama recently - Oasis wanted him to join their reunion tour, but he was booked to play with The Who. Then he got fired by The Who after it was too late to join Oasis.

Also, definitely check out the Sex Pistols. One of Liam's biggest vocal influences. Liam's voice is very often described as a combination of John Lennon and Johnny Rotten.

i think the writing is great on this one but the production is naff

My favourite reactor now mate :-) This album for me was average, shows why Oasis fans like myself, dont want them to tinker about too much with new instruments and sounds just for the sake of sounding fresh or new. Writing an anthem then multiple anthems then 20 of them is serious once-in-a-generation talent, no one else can match them for that and its impossible to come up with football stadium anthems by the droves unless your a melodic genius like Noel Gallagher. After the first 2 albums, its as if he felt he had to put melody second to 'new sounds' like most other bands who couldnt write national anthems. Too many bands use weird and new sounds and instruments for the sake of it, thats why i wish Noel wouldnt have done any more albums after the first 4 (its like he diluted his talent to get music press support, should have broken up in 1999ish. Its easy to use new instrumentation and mope and moan about girls leaving, or inner pain and confusion, trying to 'find oneself,' like Radiohead post The Bends. Even The Bends, imagine your feeling depressed, and you stick that on!! I loved it when it came out. Soon as i went through a tough life event, the bends made me wanna hide away and mope. Then Oasis came along and changed everything, they made me want to learn guitar get in a band and live not cry and blame the outside world and others for my life failures at that time. ... Love your reactions man. Your flying!! I love how we all differ and see every band differently. Heres to a great 2026 for your channel!!!

Brooo this is such a sick comment! Love your perspective on them, I actually agree to an extent on the whole moping and groaning thing but I still love when bands use weird sounds haha. I appreciate you watching for real it means a lot 🙏🏿

Because of your channel, I now love weird sounds too lol I've listened to more albums of bands I'd never have listened too, but with your content its made me appreciate other diverse styles. Cant believe you ruined Little by Little for us all lol haha cos now everytime i hear it I AGREE! lol it does sound like some kind of gospel song. Peter Popoff or Robert Tilton would love it for their 'church' services lol
