Another banger week! Just a tip for the remaining Beatles reactions: As you have heard, The Beatles recorded almost exclusively in mono. Stereo equipment was extremely niche in the 60s so mono represented over 90% of the listenerbase at the time which meant that the stereo mixes were made by EMI engineers with little to no input from the band themselves. This is the reason behind all of the odd hard-panning that you have heard in your reactions so far. However, since 2017 high-quality, modern sounding stereo mixes of their albums have been slowly releasing to both critical and fan acclaim. I would recommend you listen to those versions of the albums for optimal audio quality. The best edition for each album is as follows: Revolver (2022 Mix) Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band (2017 Mix) The Beatles (White Album) (Super Deluxe Edition) [2018 Remix & Remaster] Abbey Road (2019 Mix) Let It Be (2021 Super Deluxe)

Jack

Are you doing the 1966 mix or the 2022 mix for revolver?

Dan Hartzog

Amazing line up this week. Definitely make sure and use the 2022 mix of Revolver. From NPR: It's hard to imagine or even comprehend the technology used to remix Revolver. When it was originally recorded in 1966, often the drums, guitars, and bass were on the same track. Now with truly groundbreaking, almost magical technology, they were able to separate the instruments and create new mixes that are astounding, bringing out details in the instruments that have been buried all these years.
