Lock all the doors was supposed to be an oasis song in 1993 but they just couldn’t master it. Liam played the oasis demo version on his definitely maybe 30 year anniversary tour should defo compare them there vids on YouTube

Well u are hard to flirt with Noel songs. Maybe its a british/european thing to appreciatr his works and it maybe doesnt hit the same for americans

Oh my! Had a hunch you'd like The Right Stuff. It's my favourite. Can't wait for Who Built The Moon? – it's Noel's most colourful and creative work to date imo; he described it as 'cosmic pop'. It's a very divisive album amongst the fanbase as well, given it was released around the same time as Liam's first solo album, which was very Oasis leaning and sounding (though with a fresher, cleaner sound). Nice one!

I know you are still bothered about If I Had A Gun, thats why I would highly recommend the live version from 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoxdCQ70n94 I am surprised The Dying of the Light is low, but I do think the acoustic version is better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jKUf3ppgnA And please do react to The Mastertapes session from 2014, it has incredible acoustic renditions of Everybody's On The Run and AKA Broken Arrow. I would highly recommend if you do it for bonus material for Noel's solo stuff. I truly do believe that Noel's voice has a special magic to it when its acoustic and stripped down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ-ks3FnRzQ

The Girl With The X-Ray Eyes is heavily inspired by the sound and compositional style of David Bowie, so if you like that one you should definitely explore more of his records

There's a lot of Noel going thru the motions during that phase. I love some songs but it's definitely bland when it doesn't work. And the production is a little compressed

Noel did produce this Album himself. He did ask David Holmes to produce it he told Noel it was too finished and went onto produce his next album

In The Dying Of The Light when Noel says “woke up sleeping on a train that was bound from nowhere” references the Oasis B Side “Going Nowhere” which is on the Masterplan where he said “Here am I, going nowhere on a train” saying he’s still on that train from way back then

Who Built The Moon? is gonna be interesting.

The reason why lock all the doors sounds so like oasis was because it was written in the early 90s and meant to be an early oasis song, you can hear demos of Liam singing it back then and he also sang it in 2024 at his DM gigs

The song ‘You know we can’t go back’ had the original line of ‘Take me to my brothers arms’ but Noel changed it a week before it came out as he didn’t want interviews to only ask about the connection to Liam instead of the album as a whole😢 Then Liam wrote a song a year later which was called ‘Come back to me’ and the two songs are basically just a conversation with one another. Very sad.

When you gonna do Wunderhorses second album sage ?
