Have absolutely loved your journey with the beatles, if you loved sgt peppers i highly recommend klaatu, people thought they were the Beatles under a cover name

noodle42

about the "She's So Heavy" / "Here Comes The Sun" tonal shift... on the original LP, they are separated by a record flip. It makes the shift a lot less jarring

Lipexg

finally here ❤️

Camity

2009 remaster 💔

Jack Mcshannon

It's funny you mentioned Thomas the tank engine because Ringo Starr was actually the narrator for that show lol

Aran

You should do some of their solo albums if you enjoyed!

Esnupi

The medley part (where the transitions happen) actually starts at You Never Give Me Your Money. The crickets at the end transition into Sun King and you can hear the same melody during Carry That Weight. And yes starting from there it’s should essentially be treated as one big song.

GOLDEN SHOWERS HAHAHHAAH

lee

Useless trivia, the registration on the black car on the album is also the registration on the rolls Royce in the pool on the be here now oasis album

Samuel Rosén

Speaking of Elliott Smith you need to listennto his discography

Josh McIntyre

Now give it another go offline and without stopping the second half at all. Eventually you find the song that didn’t hit as hard are indispensable. They are not complete but they are a big part of setting up the bigger medley. It’s supposed to be one big movement

Naai turner

Thriller mentioned pls do michael jackson’s reaction if you haven’t listened to all his discography yet

Flyn

I need Sage on some early Black Sabbath since he liked she’s so heavy that much

jerrun holt

Maxwells silver hammer gotta be the most whimsical way to talk about a serial killer

Jack

You should check out pink floyds full discog like you did with the beatles

Ash

In the end, Paul John and George are trading guitar solos.

J

So pleased you liked shes so heavy, that song is the best beatles tune ever in my complicated opinion

Sam

Loved the reaction! This Beatles journey has been awesome. Here are some other great albums that are worth listening to: Paranoid by Black Sabbath, Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins, Americana by The Offspring, Nevermind by Nirvana, Doolittle by Pixies, Sixteen Stone by Bush, By the Way and Californication by RHCP, Remain In Light by Talking Heads, and Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. These albums are all very different, but they are a great journey through the growth of rock music. You should also check out some George Clinton stuff (like Maggot Brain by Funkadelic) if you want a big change of pace.

Sam

If you like some heavier stuff, you should listen to Dirt or Jar of Flies by Alice in Chains. Dirt is a super devastating album, and Jar of Flies is one of the best EPs I have ever heard. Also, Layne Staley had one of the best voices ever. Listening to any of the Seattle Big 4 grunge bands (Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam) is totally worth it.

Gerard McCartan

2018 mix man was meant to be the version. no weird panning on it. Great reaction though bro!!

Gerard McCartan

Aww me too mate. Found some old vhs tapes from 1986 that was thomas the tank engine episodes taped off the tv. great memories!

Ritchie Lamond

Just some quick trivia: Her Majesty wasn’t listed on the original LP cover and was designed to be a hidden bonus joke - that’s why there’s a couple of minutes of silence after The End. And the reason it’s a joke is that in the UK at that time, the cinemas and theatres would traditionally play the National Anthem (God Save the Queen) at the end of performances, hence why after ‘The End’ they opted to put a spin on this tradition to signal that it really is all over.

Russell Eddy

No idea if it would be of interest in like an actual album review video, but the Love album which was made for cirque de soleil that mixes together songs from all over their catalogue (produced by George Martin and his son) has always made me see some of their songs differently with different bits all mashed up

Keenan716

Ringo was the original narrator for the first two seasons of the children's television show Thomas the Train & Friends show. You aren't wrong

Joe

Sage just catching up to your Patreon stuff and wanted to commend you on your channel, really really great stuff! I’m sure you’re ready for a break from the Beatles stuff but I’d highly recommend you make some time for Paul & Linda McCartney’s RAM album. It is my favorite of any Beatles release and packed front to back with bangers.

Joe

💯

Diego Shirazi

This isn’t where it ends cause they all have solo careers! George’s “all things must pass “ was the first album to came out after the Beatles broke up, and is definitely the best. Highly recommend!

Derek Dugan

Ram is definitely a high recommendation and was way ahead of its time. All the solo stuff from all four have highs and lows. I'm sure all of us can guide Sage to the essential listens.

Derek Dugan

I was thinking the same thing.

Derek Dugan

I'd recommend a Beatles "clean up" of the Yellow Submarine songs and the three post-breakup songs - Real Love, Free as a Bird & Now and Then

Owen Parker

Amazing journey comes to end… except I have 4 more words for you… All Things Must Pass

Keenan716

And there ya have it!! The biggest, greatest and most influential band of all time! The End!!!! Much love brother

John Doe

IT'S HERE OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

José Mcdaid

Have to do John Lennon plastic Ono band album

Uriko100

Beautiful listen to this magnificent album. Thanks! BTW there is more Beatles songs in the Yellow Submarine soundtrack and 3 more 'new' 90s anthology songs. and of course the first solo albums which are direct continue to the Beatles work. start with Ram. its a classic McCartney album.

Metalbeats14

Her Majesty was supposed to be in between Mean Mr Mustard and Polythene Pam but paul didn't really like the song so it was put at the end as a hidden bonus track

Daniela Villegas

I love sun king, it was inspired by fleetwood mac's Albatross so dreamy. You never give me your money was Paul about Allen Klein and you'll see about it in anthology I believe. also theres a little laugh in maxells silver hammer, lore is John hated the song so much and mooned Paul during recording / messing around and he laughed. amazing songs by all 4 on this album, generally considered one of the best albums of all time.

Remus Edhardt

I want you (She’s so heavy) is the last song on side A so that might explain the abrupt ending

Brandon ghgghh

Octopus's Garden is the most effort each beatle has put into a Ringo song

Gerard McCartan

Your 'I want you' reaction was goated and its obvious how it made you feel something mad that you couldnt just jump into and appreciate here comes the sun!! lol First time ive felt that too because of your reaction and it makes us viewers listen more intently, I never liked i want you always thought it was repetitive and boring. In saying that, its songs like 'i want you' just make me dwell on things that i messed up or whatever so Il never really listen to it. Here comes the sun is too happy and this is too depressing lol what a band The Beatles broke up 60 years ago. So ahead of their time. Then theyl stick some crap like Maxwells silver hammer or wild honey pie or revolution 9 on n album? Baffling but genius. Love your reactions.

Sage is Typing...

Sounds interesting! I know for sure I wanna look at more of Pauls stuff in the future

Naai turner

Omg yess can‘t wait sage!!

Gina Ramsay

Ringo Starr was the original narrator of Thomas the Tank Engine

Gina Ramsay

On the vinyl album I want you was on the last song of the A side. You went through your existential dread as you flipped the record over. Here comes the Sun on the B side brings you back to the light.

Dollar Menu

You're so heavy so fucking good, love seeing it get the appreciation it gets
