Just finish their discography They got 2 more albums after this one, Both are decent but a different sound. Led by Gilmour and Mason which includes a number of session musicians, along with the return of Richard Wright. Although you should check out Roger Waters' - The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking which is a pretty good album, along with David Gilmour's solo discography like his first album and On an Island. Personally I find their solo albums better than the final two Floyd albums. - Thats if you count An Endless River which is like a bonus track album.

a momentary lapse of reason is not worth checking out, division bell absolutely is. the pros and cons of hitchhiking as well as amused to death are god tier and better than most of pink floyd music. roger waters is a genius

This is Roger Waters anti war album, his father was killed in WW2 it also touched on post depression, it’s a one off album It’s something Roger had to do. A tribute to his Father, a way to say goodbye.

this is kinda sad, and the worst part is i get where you’re coming from. i used to love this album and ive always known it was an unpopular pink floyd pick but ive never known why until watching someone who isn’t me listen to it. you would’ve liked it a tad more if you had genius open because a lot of what i get out of it is due to it being very autobiographical, however that wouldn’t fix your musical gripes.definitely a departure and an acquired taste. you’d like the division bell way more than this, it’s just 90s pop pink floyd without roger waters. but also feel free to go branch off. you’re gonna love stop making sense - probably the opposite of this lol.

Yeah this is my least fave PF album. There’s just no sauce , all melodramatic yelping and too much “daddy” for me personally. I also think the dynamic switches in this album are kinda lame and lazy. Just going from really quiet to bombastically loud on a dime isn’t good composition.

what is it off the next 2 you prefer? i kinda see your point but i find the gilmour led albums to be bland and without much meaning or melody to the vocals and lyrics sadly, which if you were to give anything positive to the final cut its the vocals are sung with real deep conviction
