Jaffacakes

Can't wait for heavy metal :D

'Islands of men' is about the self-isolation of men in modern society. Instead of seeing the real world, they retreat to their fantasy lands full of fake experiences and fake romantic/sexual partners. Become incels in the worst of cases. Cameron Winter encourages men to seek real connection in this song, which is realy sweet I think.

On my soul, we have ALL been waiting for this😭🙏

bryan

brother can NOT rock w trinidad lmfao

MrPoopyHead

Your unadulterated distaste for Trinidad was very amusing to me because it’s definitely a batshit insane song 😭 But truly, I was hesitant on it at first, but after a few more listens, it’s now become one of my favorites on the album. It is, of course, the most different and experimental, and I think geese has proven themselves to be a group that loves insane intros to their albums lol, but I do think that if you re-listened to it a couple more times, you would understand it. And it probably would be more like a C or B tier for you

bryan

highly recommend checking out the live from the basement for this one boss

Nath08

after heavy metal you should defo move onto black midi or racing mount pleasent they match the geese itch

MrPoopyHead

More so Greep imo. Black midi is cool but I think The New Sound sweeps. And it’s more accessible to new comers

Donezo

I prefer 3D Country overall, but Getting Killed has some of my favorite songs from Geese, shout-outs to Kenny Beats for co-producing this album

biteback

Trinidad is such a cool song. About a mental breakdown, I think. The weird timing and contrasting vocals and tones add to that. Very cool, imo.

FINALLY ANOTHER BOW DOWN ENJOYER YESSSSSSSS

It’s definitely worth checking out Getting Killed from the Basement. The songs sound even better live imo. It’s produced by Nigel Godrich, who also produced OK Computer and the Radiohead from the Basement sessions

Kal

On this record, you can definitely hear the Radiohead influence. You should check out the set they did for The Basement. Nigel Godrich (the dude who produced a bunch of Radiohead projects) does the production work + chooses the performers. It's really good stuff.

The guitar on cobra is infectious
