sketches ep4 | marker drawings | new illustration: sketch vs finalš (Patreon)

Hi friends! I donāt know why is that but I feel like I havenāt been posting here in ages??!
Today I want to show you a few sketchbook pages I did over the past few days, my attempt at coloring blueberries and a new illustration.
Some of these sketches were created from the place of inspiration, while others were... umm, forced.
Letās take a look!
ā¬ļøTHIS ONE is my favorite sketchbook spread Iāve made in a while! I had tons of fun making it. It started innocently, just by drawing one single pumpkin, then I figured I can draw another one and another and the rest is the history⦠:D Itās simple and fun! Iām really tempted to make such spread in colors!!
ā¬ļø This page is the forced one. Which you can probably tell. I mean, I knew I need to practice drawing these berries and leaves because the gap between my expectations and actual skills was too big. I didnāt felt like practicing that day but forced myself anyway. Iām kinda glad I did, but still... Iām not proud of these drawings!
ā¬ļø Creativity comes in waves. The next day I just started sketching knowing Iād need to draw some berries but itās totally up to me which ones. It felt so nice to draw blueberries for the 10000th time.
Speaking of blueberries.... (+ an unfinished drawing of the buttercup :D)
Itās been a while since the last time I made an illustration of them in colors! I must admit I was nervous to color this sketch. Thatās because I was worried itād look worse than my older blueberries illustrations and my ego would be hurt, lol.
I like how it turned out tho! It was also the first time in a while when I didn't use lime green color in the illustration!
Itās time for sketch vs final comparison of my newest drawing! I have about million more important/urgent things to do but I just felt like finishing this illustration I started months ago. This is my farewell to summer!
I drew these chicories on the right side a few months ago and just left this page like this, lol. It deserved to be finished!
As you can see, sometimes, when making composition like this one, I add some elements later in the process!
Hope you enjoyed this! ā”
