Surprise! The remaster took a bit longer because I wanted to get the Android version out as well!

I wasn't quite ready to launch yesterday so I kept the surprise until today so I could do some final tests. I am so excited to finally release this!!

Scroll down and find android APK it's a 1.7gb release https://stronggirls.itch.io/stronggirls-fmg-visual-novel/patreon-access

That said the android version comes with a few caveats:

Text box and quick menu icons are quite a bit chunkier. This is to allign with guidelines on phone displays. That said I don't have an android device to test so I emulated it on my windows PC to iterate through it.

Speaker silhouette on the left side of textbox is completely removed to fit UI changes.

The tooltip/chapter descriptions do not display properly on android. All custom UI elements were incredibly challenging to port over and forced me to iterate a lot and safe to say, every small fix seemed to break two other things. In the end I decided to ship without the description box showing.

additionally the tooltip relied on the mouse hovering over the chapter button to display the text, but on touch devices this is not possible so I decided to leave it rather than implement deeper UI changes.

Vendor UI issue: This is the only gameplay critical thing I wasn't able to port properly. In the original game you hover over an item to see price and description. But since touch controls don't have hover (same issue as chapter select) you cannot see item price before buying it. This is not ideal but I want to ship now and keep this as a an Android future polish as it will require substantial UI overhaul and I prefer to overhaul the 4K version to look cleaner and work with the touch controls rather than maintaining two different UI codebases.

All images are displayed in 720p allowing for a smaller download and should still look crisp on smaller screens.

The choice button might be a bit thin/small for smaller screens. I intend to overhaul the design with custom UI options in the 4k version soon so the choices look better for all versions.

So with that said, likely with chapter 7 I will overhaul some UI in 4k version so all versions enjoy more streamlined vendors and chapter select screens.

I now have a streamlined 'port to android and 1080p' button so the goal is to have all versions as consistent as possible and saving me having to treat them all as 3 separate projects. What this means to you is I don't waste as much time with code and focus more on story and art.

If you're one of many who has been trudging through with workarounds to play on android, then I look forward to getting your feedback on this official and polished android release!

Now I will take a break :D
