I wouldn’t trust myself on a road trip with Ted Cruz. I’m not a violent person but I can’t watch more than 5 minutes of Cruz talking about anything without an overwhelming feeling that I have to punch something, especially Ted’s face.

What really pushed me to the Left was reading Chomsky’s political books. He is so rigorous and clear in his analysis. I grew up during Vietnam and as a kid I could never understand why the Vietnamese resisted our unselfish help to bring them democracy. Reading Chomsky’s analysis of what Vietnam and other US intervention and his analysis of the hypocrisy of the US media really turned me into a Leftist.
