Hello hello hello! We are recording a Holiday episode of Even More Q's soon and, as usual, we need your help!

You can still ask us Q's about the news and the Showdy, but we also want to open things up to Holiday-specific questions. Got a question about visiting your family? A question about presents you want to get/give? Want Cody to write a Holiday song about your dog, cat, and/or reptile? Get specific – have fun – A us the Q's!

Hell yes I want Cody to write a song about Daisy!! She's a non-binary parakeet, makes very progressive tweets, and would, if given the opportunity, almost certainly eat Warmbo starting with his eyes

My parents have slipped further and further down the MAGA rabbit hole. They've refused to get vaccinated and have yet to meet my now 6-month old son because of it. We'll see them over Xmas since my son will be vaxxed by then. Any tips on communicating with people who don't share the same reality as you? Also, my dad keeps sending me posts by anonymous Substack weirdos like Gato Malo and Ethical Skeptic. Is there any chance of a 'sode on those chodes?

Willow Bee

Which do you most can’t the least?

Sword n' Bored

What if Cody and Warmbo made a holiday album together?

newdarkcloud

Weird question, but who does the voice of Warmbo. Does Cody do it on set, or is someone else's voice dubbed in later?

Julie Scott

If your parents have questionable morals, but you don't want to get cut out of the will because then all the generational wealth will go to your kiss up sister, so you smile and nod at family gatherings, does that make you a bad person? Asking for a friend.

Mick White

When do we get an all advertisements supercut? I love listening to your Showdy a second time for the insane ad reads.

BingoFrog

In the Nightmare Before Christmas, we see several trees with doorways into various holiday worlds. The movie only takes us inside Christmas and Halloween Worlds, but there are also doors for Easter, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, St Patrick’s, and Valentines. Which of these holiday worlds would you most like to visit?

Andrew Duck

Have you ever thought about having Warmbo on as a guest? I think it would be great to have his unfiltered opinions on current events that aren’t being read from a script. Who knows, he could actually be a died in the wool communist and is really on playing the part of a middle of the road puppet.

Derek Martin

Any chance you can lend me Warmbo for the holidays? My family would love to host him.

Jason Tesoriero

I watched An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn and cannot believe what a dead ringer Emile Hirsch is for Cody. Please have Emile Hirsch open the show like he is Cody, then real Cody walks on set confused and Katy explains that his weed nap lasted a really long time or something. Title monkey can figure out the sketch, the point is, we need Emile Hirsch.

I want to know about differences between American and British holiday traditions. For example, what are the etymologies of the phrases “Merry Christmas (US)” vs “Happy Christmas (UK)”? Etymology? That sounds like “entomology,” the study of bugs… Bugs…? Bug, S.? Scott Bug!!!! Renowned Britainish scienceist! Maybe he could make another appearance to explain holiday junk from across the pond!

Zak Cates

What do you think are the chances of a draft being enstated for the War on Christmas? Would women, out gays, or transpeople be included in this draft? Will “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” be reapplied to religious affiliation instead of sexual orientation to protect christians in the military from discrimination? Or would that violate their right to perceive any minor loss of privilege as the worst kind of persecution any group has ever faced?

Matthew Young

Hi my parents are right leaning recently lapsed individuals. They say they don't believe anything the news says ( including Fox news) and they seem to be more open to left wing ideas but have 50 years of bs programing to deal with I would like to convince them to be more progressive in their views but I am frustrated by their distrust of any evidence I present. What do you think is the best way to do this? Ps love the showdy and eagerly await Katie's new show thank you for all that y'all do.

If the three kings were astrologers, doesn't that mean they were committing sins against God? It's like there are plot holes in the bible, but surely that's impossible?

Dan Benningfield

Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney OR Happy Christmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon?

Joseph Wilson

Katie Willert and Katie Stoll get into a bar fight. Who wins?

Eagle Chee

Just give us your favorite cookie recipes or Warmbo gets it!

AEPSchmitt

How do you stay sane during the holidays, watching everyone go into a consumer frenzy, in a time when consumption reduction is crucial? Personally it makes me really depressed, and I hate feeling that way every December.

Edward Campbell

How many minutes, days, or months left before the collapse of LA in Katy Stoll's absense?

Alex R

was it difficult to resist making a pun about being physically hungry during the episode about hungary? asking for a friend

Steve Snyder

It’s time we had a serious conversation about “I Think you Should Leave” with Tim Robinson. I have now shown it to 5 people in an attempt to find one person that I could hold on to and look in the eye while they explain exactly why any of those sketches are funny. As he has admitted in interviews that he just uses rejected SNL skits for his show, all of which have no actual jokes or clever writing, they are all simply absurdist nonsense ending in awkwardness, I suppose my question for Katy would have to be, do you know Tim Robinson and are you just hoping your friend is a success? The only other person that I’ve heard say that his show is even watchable (no one I’ve shown it to has made it past episode 2) is Seth Meyers, and I know for a fact they’re friends. If that’s what it is please just say that rather than attempting to gaslight everyone into thinking his show is actually funny. I recognize and accept that not all comedy shows are for everyone as comedy is subjective and very personal, but as we are living in times where people are choosing their own facts and rejecting objective truth, it would simply be very helpful for my mental health if people I very much admire (looking at you here Katy 🥺) would admit that they know there is nothing “genius” or “brilliant” about his show, and that he’s just your buddy and you want him to succeed with his very weird and silly show. You may just know of him and have heard from people who are of his acquaintance that he’s a really nice guy. That’s more than enough reason in my book for you to root for him and hope he has great success. But when I hear, “Oh, Tim’s show is just brilliant, I can’t explain why you just have to see it,” that really takes me back to childhood when kids would just act like they understood or liked something in order to get cool points. If that’s what’s going on I once again would understand, I just need you to let me know that’s what you’re doing. In any case, this is the last time I’ll bring it up, just had to get that off my chest, and I didn’t have any other good questions this month. *Note to Jonathan in case you pick this one and read it in the podcast, I wrote it in what I would describing as a pleading friendly tone rather than an irritated or angry one.

Your favorite holiday traditions? I'm a dirty heathen and all, but I still greatly enjoy a handful of non-Jesus Christmas traditions.

Thereal_VanWalsh

What was yhe weirdest secret Santa gift or Christmas party you've all been to?

BarnCatBlues

Serious question: Why won't you, please, please, make a magnet that states - "Warmbo Can Smell Your Blood"?

David Morin

What about a Warmbo Dog toy? My great danes would give that sock puppet hell.

Mulloy

Given Cody's unique energy and delivery, I'm airways curious what the collaboration is like for scripts. Do you just try to make agates written work or do have to adjust things?

Andrew Stammworthy

What is your least favorite Christmas song and why is it Christmas Shoes?

Mulloy

How do I talk to my roommate about not fucking the dishwasher?

laurenk

If you use a turducken as a metaphor for 2022 America, what are the three layers (animals?) that get crammed in there? (This is a question from a vegetarian; that's how depressing this year is.)

Orion Ussner Kidder

How do you do the holidays? Have you found a way to do Christmas that’s consistent with your values? If so, please tell us how.

Apes a Plenty

You guys rag on Biden a lot despite him passing a lot of progressive policies that even Obama couldn't / wouldn't do. What would Biden have to do to be considered worth voting for in 2024?

Eli

A lil jingle for my leopard geck Roger would make him feel so special :-) he likes crickets, mealworms, and warm rocks Q: how would you say your politics have changed over the past years, say since the 2016 election?

Thereal_VanWalsh

Aaron Lutes

How off the cuff are the ad reads? They seem too complex to be 100% adlib but they feel so unhinged and loose, i love it. Also do the sponsors ever audit them? Do they like your perfect brand?

Kevin Hengehold

Do you have any advice along the lines of "how to survive the holidays with your family?"

How long should we expect to wait for a proper sequel to 'The Mask' and to what extent will boars be responsible for preventing it and other generally good things at the last moment?
