Hi. On today's episode, we look at how the U.S. became so car-centric, why more walkable cities are probably the way to go, and what we can do to loosen the car industry's mechanical grip on our urban planning. Plus, the cars in Pixar's "Cars" have to eat and go to the bathroom. How does that work?

TBF they go to the bathroom to get an oil change, and they drink motor oil.

I want to be able to put more thumbs up on this but the internet has decided that I only get one.

To commit to this weeks gimmick, Cody should watch Titane.

Trent Hanson

New episode W00T! Also you guys should do a whole episode where Mr. Warmbo is the host!

Jared Pasqua

I thought for sure Cody would note the parallels to guns

I would assume that the modern cars are all computerized. And that they're brains or souls are contained in the actual computers. So changing the motors is like heart surgeries

"Why are the tits light up?" - Cody with the Showdy. Love you guys! I like the idea of walkable cities. All the articles I read about them make them sound really appealing. I'd def live in one, even though I can't walk that much. Anyway, I like driving in my car. It's very calming. It's the only place I have time alone. I didn't have kids. My environmental footprint is much smaller than a person who has them. Therefore, I don't feel so bad that I have a car with a big 8cyl engine. Yes, it is fast, and I have always liked fast cars and I won't apologise for it. I don't use it all the time and it's in storage in the winter. I have a 2004 Saturn to run most of my errands in. The problem with electric cars is you have to re-charge them, and most of our electricity is produced by using coal. Not to mention the environmental impact of mining the materials required to produce the car and battery itself. Also, driving an electric car from Chicago to LA would take about ten days, given the short ranges of these vehicles. Just IMO. Peace!

Now whenever Cody makes his eventual OnlyFans page I demand he be photoshopped in with pictures of sexy cars doing sexy things. Or actually be with sexy cars doing sexy things.

Matt Ellen

Have you figured out a bit, Cody?

This is great for urban areas, but the nearest town of more than 400 people is 40 miles away. And the nearest town with m more than just a Wal Mart is 120 miles away.

I'm going to have to check out that part of Milwaukee. WHEN IT GETS WARMER! I moved here 1.5 years ago, first time in a city, and I'm amazed that I can walk everywhere I need to and it's like a 20 minute bike ride to get downtown (MOSTLY on good bike paths, too!). So different than where I had to drive like 2 miles to get groceries. Just sucks that I need to drive to work.
