It's like Emily's ultimatum to Ross - her or Rachel. Some people do vilify them, claiming they're insecure and jealous. Though that might be partially true, their feelings didn't come out of nowhere. They don't feel secure because of Ross's and Ted's actions. I can't blame the guys either, because they're also trying to move on. So, at the end of the day, everyone is just trying their best to be happy and have it all. Too bad life never works that way. XD It was fun watching it with you, thanks!

I do think it’s unfair of Victoria to push over her doubt/reservations about their relationship onto Ted. She kinda knew Ted didn’t want to stop being friends with Robin and instead of asking herself if she would be ok with that she pushed the question over to Ted. Feels like a classic ultimatum to avoid making a decision herself.

Personally never liked Victoria, so I’m in the small camp that saw her minor return and was displeased, then her full return for round two and was just plainly annoyed with Ted lol

Unpopular opinion maybe but I always thought Victoria asking Ted to distance himself from Robin was valid, but that’s something she should’ve made clear before they ever got back together. Also, if you have to ask your partner to do something like that then maybe the whole relationship needs a rethink.

I think people kinda forgot, but this episode is not the first time Victoria brought up the Robin situation... she talk about it at the beginning of Season 7 when she met Ted again for the first time since Season 1. She literally said the reason a lot of Ted's relationship didn't work was because of Ted's feeling for Robin, what Ted and Robin are doing is not good. Future Ted even said she was right. It's not a new thing that she just bring it up now, Ted and people just overlook it or try to not think about it.

all the more reason not to leave a groom at the altar, rekindle a serious relationship despite major reservations (🫡 major reservations) and place an extreme condition on a lifelong commitment that would negatively affect other friendships in order to avoid making the decision herself.
